We have done this activity every time we make it out to California. Very nice and informative and lucky enough to see a whale this time! Speaker was great, give the guy a raise! Very informative and appreciated all his knowledge!

Great trip with knowledgable captain. Kids got seasick, so length of trip wasn't too long, nor too short.

No Whales

We did not see any whales which was disappointing but lots of dolphins and sea lions. It was rough waters but fun. Next time we will bring blankets - the four year old with us did enjoy it but said it was too long. I guess two hours can be long for a little guy. We all had fun and the crew was great. Departures and arrivals were timely.

No whales...

The ride was fine... we saw a few dolphins but it was a pretty boring trip. Two hours seemed like too long to be on such rough water and not see any whales... probably wouldn't go again :(

See above - we did see Dolphins & Sea Lions. Had 2 adults and 7 and 9 year old girls. Is there anyway of predicting whales will show up?

George and the rest of the crew are fantastic! This was our second whale watching with your company, and both times were perfect. We saw grey whales this time, and last time we saw blue whales and hundreds of dolphins. I love the respect that your crew shows for nature. We also bought the video, and love it. Thanks! We will be back to take another trip.

Whale following

Must say we were very lucky to spot a whale 10 - 15 minutes out in the ocean and kept following it for about half an hour. The crew was very helpful in providing information about the pattern of the whale being observed - when it goes for a big dive, when it will surface back, and the sort. It was a perfect day out - being the 10 am tour we did not have much people on the trip and could move around easily. I came with my 16 month old who had her jacket on. One of the crew members also offered their jacket to keep her warmer. That was a nice gesture, isn't it? Then we spotted a few sea lions which kept posing for the photos. It was good that the crew did their most to search and find as many life they could spot in the ocean. Overall I would highly recommended it though I do not know how my feedback would have been if we did not spot any !

We enjoyed our trip tremendously, treated from start to finish as if we were part of there family. Given a complete narrative of our surroundings and marine life. They were as enthusiastic as we were upon whale sightings. I would recommend this trip highly.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! We are looking forward to doing this again in July/August to see Blue Whales & we'll be choosing the same outfitters! The captain and deck hands were all great, knowledgeable and friendly. Their experience enabled us to not only see grey whales but to follow their path as they migrated down the coast. This is truly an experience our family will never forget- fun for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors! Children 3 to 93 will all be impressed and captivated not just by the ocean animals but also by the captains banter and knowledge of all things "ocean"! We enjoyed this excursion so much that we went twice the week we were visiting!

No whales, but lovely California Coast

No whales on this trip. My friend went with her family the same day at 8am and saw a whale. We did see dolphins and sea lions. The dolphins swam right next to the boat. Boat was big, nice, clean, and not crowded. Beautiful, sunny day. We enjoyed seeing the California coast line, which was nice for our family and children from Texas.

Took our three young kids (2, 5, 7) and we weren't sure if they'd like it. There aren't many places to sit so we were really wondering how it was going to play out, standing at the front of the boat the whole time. Long story short, the captain found a pod of dolphins - we're talking a thousand dolphins. Honestly, it was epic. The kids were ecstatic. The dolphins were literally swimming alongside the boat. We never saw a grey whale, but forget the grey whale...if you're lucky enough to come across the native dolphins, it is worth it. Seriously one of the top 10 best things ever experienced. The crew was courteous, funny, and knowledgeable. Good luck!
