| We were impressed with the boat, VERY clean. Left on time Crew showed great concern for the passengers by really trying to find a local whale (it moved out of the area, we saw no whales) Even without whales and with a gloomy day, we had alot of fun. The Marine Biologist was very informative too. | ||||||

| We were on the Reel Fun 1/2 day fishing on Saturday June 20, 2009. We had a great time. The guys on the boat helped all of us that needed help. Very attentive to our needs. We were a family of six. Ages 17 yrs old - 45. Caught several fish. We will be back!! Very fun day!! | ||||||

| Had a very enjoyable afternoon of fishing and the deckhands were very helpful. If you got hung up, they would help you get free. And if you broke a line they would get you re-rigged and fishing again. When you caught a fish, they would help you get it un-hooked and measure it to see if it was a keeper, if not they would throw it back or if it was, put in your sack. It was also nice that they would clean and bag your fish as we returned to port. All in all, a very enjoyable afernoon of fishing. Bob Goodman Banning, CA | ||||||

| We're pretty seasoned whale watchers (B.C., Mass., Alaska . . . ) and didn't have our expectations met. There was no narration at any point on the trip out to see the whales. We did see some blue whales, but went out so far to see them that we had very little time to spend watching them. There was narration during the watch part, but only one little bit on the way back when we came across some sea lions sleeping on a buoy. Would have been nice to know as we went along where we were geographically (Newport Beach, Malibu?). | ||||||

| Deck hands were great! But the boat was too crowded to enjoy fishing. I would recommend a higher price per person and reduce the amount of anglers! | ||||||

| My husband, grandson and myself had a great time even thou we didn't bring any fish home, we had to throw two back because of being under size, we all ejoyed the day. And the crew was great ready to help when they could. We will do it again. | ||||||

| I took my 5 year old son fishing for the first time on this trip. While we both had a good time together and we were able to bond in a way that we have not before, the one thing that lacked was the fish. They were not bitting that day. I wish you could predict the fish bitting but you can't. All in all we enjoyed our day together and we will be doing it again and hopefully the fish decided to show up. | ||||||

| The entire operation ran very smoothly and the staff was very fun and professional. The boat was clean and we were taken to many different fishing areas. We also rotated our fishing positions on the boat as to have as many different views and possibilities. My only negative comment was the boat was at full capacity which I found to be a bit crowded and line tangling was inevitable. Otherwise a perfectly fun time! | ||||||

| A great time. Spent about 30 minutes watching the blue whale we found-then headed back and watched about 100 dolphins. Good boat and informative captain. This was the evening cruise which was the determining factor for us using this seller. | ||||||

| The ride out to sea was really awesome. A deep respect for seafarers and all the marine life we need to protect was gained. I'd recommend this experience to everyone. | ||||||

| Had some relatives in from NY and thought we'd take them out to go whale watching. Although we did not see blue whales, we did see 100's of dolphins. It was a fantastic experience and I strongly recommend it. We have a 5 yr old girl and 2 yr old boy who had a blast throughout the 2 hour journey. Having a galley on board is great idea too. The boat was not crowded at all and the staff was very informed and open to speaking about what we were seeing, etc. Great times! | ||||||

Fine for locals with their own tackle

| We participated in the 1/2 trip from 12-5pm and unfortuanetly it was an uneventful day. We had a group of about 9 in our party out of 25 total on the boat and the fishing was very poor. The boat seemed to cater to the everyday locals that had special tackle that allowed them to fish near the surface in the large kelp beds we were parked next too. The 3 fish that were caught (Small bass) in the 5 hour trip were caught by these locals using their specialized tackle. The other 95% of the boat was using pole/tackle rentals and forced to fish off the bottom catching absolutely nothing. At least we got 5 hours of sun. | ||||||
