| The catamaran is an neat boat ride if you have never experienced one. We saw a pod of dolphins,and sea lions. The captian of the boat did an outstand job looking for sea life. He found a "sun fish" the marine biologist was extremely helpful in tell about everything. There was also a marine biologist who had been following the whales from up north down south and was head back up north with them. She was recording the sounds they make. We were fornuate for her to share them with us. | ||||||

| The crew was great. My grandchildren so enjoyed the Dolphins and Sea Lions. Just sorry we missed the whales that day. Will try again on another Trip. We never see Whales in Florida. | ||||||

| The crew was nice and helpful but nobody caught a fish. Seems a bit pricey ($119 bucks for all of us) for nothing. Kids were discouraged, probably won't do it again due to the cost verses output. | ||||||

| The Dana Wharf folks are pros. The whole activity went like clockwork and the staff did their best to give us our money's worth. Although we didn't see any whales (the trip was late in the season), we saw more dolphins than I thought possible - a pod of common dolphins that numbered in the thousands. Dolphins everywhere - as far as you could see -quite a spectacle. | ||||||

| We had a great time on the whale watching trip, however, we did not see any whales or any dolphins. Maybe next season.....But overall great outdoor event with the kids. | ||||||

| This was the most boring thing I've done in a while. The Captain of the boat didn't tell us what we were doing or what we were looking for. He let us know about a half an hour into the tour that there were a pack of Sea Lions on the bouy that was right in front of us. The next hour and a half the Captain didn't say one word until we were pulling back into the harbor to let usknow that we will be getting refunds! I've been whale watching out of Dana Point before and the Captain made the trip worth while for us! He would tell jokes and let us know what we were looking for and he just made so much of an effort to keep us entertained! We didn't see any Whale or Dolphin and that's just Mother Nature, but the Captain couldn't have been more speechless! And he didn't seem to make much of an effort to search for any Whale or Dolphin either. | ||||||

| I cant believe how many dolphins we saw on our trip! Our boat was totally surrounded by them for over 30 minutes! Plus we got to see the elusive whale. The boat was clean, staff was friendly, and I would definitely suggest this trip- for people of all ages. My 83 year old grandfather even had a wonderful time!! Thanks for great memories :) | ||||||

| It took a while for the boat to get out to where we could see whales. The kids that i had with me age 3 and two aged 8 had gotten really bored with waiting as we didnt see any whales until the tour was almost over. Be sure to bring snacks and water, if not they are sold inside the cabin on the boat. which by the way you cannot see whales through because people crowd in front of the windows on the deck when a whale is seen. Bring a sweater and a jacket. There is a big temperature difference the farther you go out into the ocean especially if there is a breeze. I recommend this trip if you have the patience and older children. | ||||||

| I suggest going on this cruise during the morning hours. We went at 12:00 noon and most of the 2 hours were spent sailing along the sea looking at birds. We did finally spot a grey whale on our way back to shore. It was an awesome sight, as he surfaced several times. We would have liked to see dolphins too, but we didn't. Having gone on a morning cruise in Dana Pt. before, I know the dolphins are more abundant during the morning hours. The nice thing about this cruise line is that if you don't see any dolphins or whales on your cruise, they will issue you a ticket to come again. | ||||||

| The staff was great. The boat was great. Enjoyed chasing the dolphins around and around. Enjoyed hearing about dolphins. Staff estremely helped. Loved the grilled cheese sandwich. Have done it several times and don't care if we see the whales or not - the dolphins are a fun to watch. It is relaxing sitting inside if you do not want to stay outside. | ||||||
