Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching

There were six of us that went and 4 were children that have never caught a fish before so we were hoping that they would get a chance to catch something , but unforunately the fishing was not very good that day and only one of the Kids caught anything, oh well ,better luck next time.

I would do it again

Now I know why its called a cattle boat. We were packed in like sardines. I was with 3 boys and could not find 4 spots to accommodate us. Way too crowded, even at 1/2 price on Tuesdays, it wasn't worth the drive. To add insult to injury, very slow day fishing.

I don't recommend taking the Tuesday trip because the boat was very crowded and the deckhands were not able to help everyone. Not many fish were caught on the day we went.

We went out on a 1/2 day boat for my son's 10th birthday. There were 8 altogehter with two 10 year olds. The day was great. Beautiful weather. The captain announced my son's birthday on the loud speaker and everyone cheered. He got such a kick out of that. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast burrito from the gally was big and tasty! We didnt catch a great deal of fish, but we enjoyed the day very much and would go out with them again. Overall a fun day and a good experience.

Crew didn't really try to find the fish. Stopped chumming on second of third stop and only went 2 miles outside of harbor

I'm not a fisherman and was therefore a bit stressed about tying hooks onto the lines and baiting these hooks. The crew on board the Clemente was extremely helpful, polite and courteous. They made the trip very enjoyable. They were great with my kids, teaching them about the different types of fish we were catching, baiting their hooks for them and tying any hooks for me. The crew did all of the "dirty work" for us and we simply had to drop the bait into the water. The meals were also reasonably priced.

The catamaran felt safe and yet we had quite a ride with the waves running about 4-6 feet. We didn't see any whales but quite a few dolphins.

The fish were delicious. Only thing we could think to improve the trip would be some benchs around to sit on. Long day to just stand. All in all GREAT DAY

the crew was nice and my whole group had a great time with all of us catching plenty of fish... we would def. do this trip again soon. Moved around to a few different spots and the captain made up for it by extending the time out there with no pressure on time.... great day on the water.

We had a good time but we wish we could have gone a little further out. We both feel that we would have had a better time and caught more fish if we had not been so close to the shore.

We (my wife and I) have been on numerous Whale Watching trips aboard the Dana Pride and each one has been a thoroughly satisfying and wonderful experience. Excellent captain, crew and vessle -- top flight all the way. We've taken family and friends along and have never been disappointed. In fact, our granddaughter will be visting us from Omaha next week and is very excited about going out with us, especially after hearing about our most recent trip where we encountered mega-pods of dolphin and a blue whale. I've also been on several fishing charters out of Dana Wharf and would rate these excellent as well.
