Very Enjoyable

The boat was clean and nice. The boat driver was very knowledgeable. The website wasn't clear that it was in between whale seasons. They did however give our tickets back for another trip because we didn't see any whales or dolphins. I would recommend this company.

Fun evening... my 10 yo loved it!

My 10 yo son Grant and I have been talking about going fishing for months and we decided to give this boat a go. Although the fish weren't jumping onto the deck for us, we did manage to catch one. Grant had as much fun baiting the hook with the available calamari as fishing I think. The crew was very friendly and the others on board equally receptive to conversation. Really enjoyed meeting Isaac. Had some interesting stories to share. We will return another day for the day trip to Catalina. Thanks, Rob

Took the kids out whale watching, and everyone enjoyed it. Saw lots of common dolphins, a few sea lions, and 2 whales who were trying to stay hidden. Food and cocktails were reasonably priced.

Tues' trip

Glad we got to see a whale and some common dolphins. Would have been nice to stay longer as it seemed we traveled quite a while and saw nothing and when we did, we had to return to dock.

My 12 year old and I have talked about going for months but I was always a little nervous because I am not a fisherman and know nothing about it. We ended up catching a fish and had a blast. The crew were great and very helpful.

We did not see any whale sightings that day so they returned our ticket to us so that we could ride for free on another day. Fantastic!

Whale and Dolphin Watching Adventure Tour

My family and I are California natives, but we're not very much beach people nor had we ever been whale watching. Not only did we have an excellent time on board the boat (more to come on that) we actually spent the rest of the day at the Dana Point harbor beach area and very much enjoyed every minute of it. After working so hard for so many years in school, and in the work force, my wife and I were able to have a minute to reconnect and escape our stressful careers for a little while...and my son, who's 11, loved every minute. The website recommends you arrive for the trip a little early as the boat leaves promptly on time. This is very true! I appreciate the fact that the company actually runs by the clock and as a result respects the value of their patron's time. We were scheduled to leave at Noon. We left the dock at 12:01. The boat was very clean and well-kept. There was plenty of room to move around deck and the 3 crew members made themselves available at every turn. Very attentive! The captain's narration and informative dialogue about sea life and the habits of its living creatures was very intriguing. Not a dull moment. We saw many bottlenose dolphins and common dolphins during our trip. We also saw 2 Fin whales, and actually spent a good amount of time following one of these magnificent creatures as it went about its feeding habits. Most impressive. If you're anything like me you'll spend all of your time on deck so as not to miss anything. FYI, however, the bow of the ship is the best place on board and can get crowded quickly so you'll want to stake a spot out. The winds can make it pretty cold up there so be sure to bring a windbreaker or sweater. After an hour up there I sought something warm to drink for my family. I went below deck to see what I could find. I asked the fella behind the counter for some hot coffee, then changed my mind to hot tea, then decided on hot chocolate. Thinking they probably had only one of those selections I was thoroughly impressed when the fella asked "okay, which one? We've got all 3!" That was unexpected, but a pleasant surprise! (and it was delicious too - warmed us right up for the next hour) In a nutshell the trip is worth the cost. It's not the least expensive trip available, but I assure you that you won't be disappointed with your purchase. This splurge is worth it. Pacific Coast Highway runs right past Dana Point so it would be my suggestion to spend the rest of the day at the beach, or saunter along PCH and explore its many beautiful points or quaint shoppes. Have fun!

The trip itself was great. The crue was fantastic. Could not ask for better. But... The girls at the check in store bad attitudes. Wanted to look at there phones instead of helping customers. It just seemed like we got in there way . One guy was in the store and he helped us out . Found out the hard way about needing a parking permit or you can get your car towed.

I really enjoyed this trip. Even though we didn't see any whales, it was still fun. Since we didn't see any whales, they gave our ticket back to come another time. I would do it again in a heart beat. Very exciting

The captain was well spoken and explained the life cycle of the Whales and Dolphins in a manner that the young children could understand and relate to.

Spectacular!

I went with my two grown nieces and my two little nieces. The best part of the excursion for all us was when we came upon a megapod of dolphins. I love dolphins and to see them swimming on every side of the boat for as far as my eyes could see was spectacular.

Terrific day with grandson. Never dull!
Thu, Apr 4, 13   10:00 AM MelissaBaker Female 60-69 Local Family With Children
The crew was lot of fun and always available to help untangle lines, remove fish from hooks, and share tips. Dolphins followed the wake, gulls and pelicans were never far, sailboats were whipping nearby, a tall ship was seen at a distance and paddle boarders and surfers were closer to shore. Hayden, our 8 year old grandson caught a rockfish and we all agreed to return when the water was warmer.
