Fun times! Great boat crew, always providing a hand to keep us fishing.

My daughter's 12th birthday party celebration consisted of 14 girls. Was affordable and exciting too. No whales, but the largest pod of dolphins I have ever seen in my life. The crew took us to three locations to see three types of dolphin. This is the 10th time, I estimate, I've been whale watching and, even though we saw no whales, it was the best experience yet.

Since it was early in the season and it was very cold and the water was very rough we didn't see any whales or dolphins. Even the sea lions were few and far between. It was a very nice boat and the crew seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Some people couldn't handle the rough ride and got seasick. If my friend had been staying longer we might have waited for more favorable conditions, but since she was leaving the next day we didn't have much of a choice. I strongly recommend that people dress WARMLY if they are going to take this trip in the winter months. By warmly, I mean winter coats or jackets because it was COLD. Fortunately, we were dressed accordingly so we were relatively comfortable. Since we didn't see any whales or dolphins we received a voucher for another trip at some point in the future. Hopefully, we will have better luck then, but we felt that it was an enjoyable experience nonetheless. I have been on these trips before and got to see many dolphins as well as the occasional Grey Whale. This time of year however, it is a crap-shoot as they say with regard to the weather and/or the likelihood of seeing marine life. It's still worth the trip in my opinion as it is generally an enjoyable two hour cruise if nothing else.

From ages of 7 to 73- we had a great time. Didn't see any whales but loads of Dolphins.

This was our second time on the whale watching excursion. Fantastic we saw a large pod of dolphiins well over 1000. We visit our daughter and son in-law and make a yearly trip. We definitely will be back!!! Robin & Leonard Koci Topeka, KS

Crew was wonderful and the vessel wasn't crowded. We stayed with a huge pod of dolphins for about an hour...it was fabulous.

Overall I enjoyed my cruise experience. I LOVED seeing all the dolphins but was a little disappointed I didn't see any whales (I guess that was due to the transition between seasons). And although I liked all the facts and info about the water and sealife, I didn't enjoy how loud the captain was over the loud speaker. It was so loud, it was ear piercing and eventually gave me a headache. I prob would have said something, but I was feeling too sick to walk around.

Lots of dolphins...warm weather...informative. I'm a fisherman and have witnessed dolphin in the wild many times. But in this situation, spending time in the middle of the pod and watching them close up was fantastic and very relaxing.

Great fishing on the ocean with professional staff, great bait. All good.

We went out on the half priced Tuesday catamaran trip. Weather and conditions were perfect. The captain and crew seemed very knowledgable about where to find marine life and provided a very informative narration on the way out. Their concern for the ocean was evident. We did not see any whales as we were really not at the right time of year for it but we did see a lot of dolphins and seals. The staff approaches the animals with respect and at the same time are able to optimize your experience by getting the dolphins to surf in the boats wake and manuever the boat to ensure everyone on board gets up close views. They explain the animals behavior in detail. We were also lucky to get an unexpected viewing of seals on some of the local rocks. I would really recommend this trip to anyone considering a whale or dolphin cruise. The price is great for the duration of the trip (2 hours). The boat is clean and well maintained. I plan on going out again when the grey whales are here and would also take any out of town visitors out for an enjoyable day on the ocean. There are nice little restaurants right by the docks too ...so if your cruise is one that does not include a meal it is nice to be able to have lunch or dinner right there on the water before or after the cruise. Little shops in the area as well ..nice for sourvniers for out of town guests. Dana Point is a pretty area so you can easily make a day of it. You will definitely get some great photographs !

Needed something to break up the typical mid-week day-dates I've allowed us to fall into. When I saw the 1/2 price whale watching (pronounced: dolphin watching) tour, I knew it was worth a shot. Low and behold, we lucked out and had one of the best days of the year for an ocean boat trip. No whales, but great people on board, and a very friendly crew that truely seems to enjoy thier work! thanks a million!

The staff were good and patient-I was irritated with some kids and a parent next too me who left there rods unatttended. The staff did all they could but it sort of soured me on the experience-that and the teenages who though nothing of casting their bait near a bird and hooking it. I still recommend the trip just because of the beauty of the harbor.
