| over crowded conditions made day with 9 year old son hard, i couldnt even fish next to him so i didnt fish at all the whole day i will not be returning to dana point any more! | ||||||

| The price was great. The fishing wasn't good on the day I went. I only caught two tiny Sculpin. The boat was way too crowded. I would not suggest going on 1/2 price Tuesdays. | ||||||

| I was on the Clemente. The boat left promptly. The captain was very informative, humerous and obviuosly likes what he does. He took us out 8 miles and we saw the most amazing whale! He gave us a lot of knowledge of whales and I learned so much. Then he extended our trip so we could see a pod of dolphins. He really went out of his way to show us a really good time. I highly recommend Ocean Adventure Cruises, provided by DanaWharf. | ||||||

| I went out on the slowest day I've ever seen, but I still had a good time. Dana Wharf generously gave 10% off people's next trip due to the slow fishing, which they didn't need to do, but was definitely appreciated. The deck hands were friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. | ||||||

| I always like fishing with the crew from Dana Sports Fishing! They do an excellent job and are the best in the area.....I could easily go north and use a different charter company but the crew on the Dana Wharf boats are much more helpful.....so I make a longer drive to fish with them. The only drawback on this recent trip is a packed boat....don't like it when it is full and only have two crew to help. | ||||||

A Great Day Fishing

| Never been out of Dana Point before, but will highly recommend using them again. Checked in with out any problems and waited in line to board. Once aboard the crew was extreamly helpful and polite. Once we arrived at the spot the captain decided we should fish from. We droped anchor and imediately brgan to catch fish. Even when I brought the fish aboard the crew was quick to remove the hook and get me back in the water. He also placed my fish in the gunny shack provided by the boat. The gunny sack was only 1 dollar, but the best dollar I'll ever spend, as amatter of fact the price of the 1/2 day boat was the best fishing for the price you will ever receive. | I will never go on a weekend 1/2 day PM trip out of Dana Wharf again. The trip seems to attract both small on large groups of obnoxius drunks, that can;t fish, curse continually and just ruin the day for everyone else. And the worst part is that neither the Captain or Crew do anything at all to even suggest that these folks at least curb their vulgariity. | ||||||

| I think it might have been too rough to go out the day I went out. I threw up twice as did a couple of other people, this is AFTER taking dramamine, so it was really rough - several people fell down because the water was so choppy. I saw several dolphin, but not what I was expecting exactly. No whales in sight. The staff was extremely nice and friendly though and I enjoyed talking with them. | ||||||

No Whales no dolphins

| The boat was old, hardly any passangers. Only found out there that the whale watching season was over. Website of whale watching company is misleading. Captain did not say anything that he will making an effort to spot whales, in contrast with another whalewatching experience from Monterey Bay last year. There the captain and staff was zigzagging the area for us, and made an honest effort that we get our money's worth. No whales there either, but at least we knew that everything was done what humanly possible. It would have been much better to buy the ticket on site, that way I could have used the local coupons for discounts. Since I preapid the tour, that option was lost. Overall the experience was very negative. Cannot recommend it to anybody. Received $10.00 discount for future trips, which I will not use, since I am a tourist from Canada, and will not come back to this area anytime soon. | ||||||
