Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching

We loved this whale watching company. They were friendly and kept the boat clean! We will definately use this company again.

There were three of us in our group, two of us came back with giant squids, and the third person lost one. It was an amazing experience. I have been fishing for most of my 26 years, and catching a giant squid was something I have never done before. The crew was outstanding; they were very helpful, and the price was right. I would love to go again.

Unfortunately after the storms the week before there was not much to see. But we had fun anyway. Thank you to the crew

I loved the dolphins, stingrays, sea lions and 2 grey whales. The boat is beautiful and I totally recommend the entire experience. Did I mention that the price was so reasonable? Thanks for a great morning.

Highly recommended. I went with my kids (ages 7 and almost 5). Crew was knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about the animals we saw (3 kinds of dolphin and some fin whales-- we got lucky!). We all enjoyed watching the dolphins play in the wake off the bow of the boat. Breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes) was great. Overall, a lovely trip that we are still talking about.

We would highly recommend this trip. We saw 3 whales and the captain kept up with them so we could obtain lots of photographs and he provided a lot of factual information. We also saw lots of dolphins and sea lions. Very enjoyable trip and we would certainly go again.

The boat was maxed out but everone was able to slide to one side of the boat when we came along side the whales. Captain seemed knowledgable. We went on a 2 for 1 Tuesday and you can't beat the deal! I would recommend.

The half-price Tuesdays is an awesome marketing move! Great value!!! I would book a fishing trip on a Tuesday as well. Great trip and great price!

when i went whale watching, i saw some sea lions hanging out and basking in the sun. i took some pictures and we went deeper into the water. Later, we saw some common dolphins playing in the water. i tried to take some pictures, but they were too fast. i managed to take some pictures of them jumping. we didnt see a whale though, so we headed back to the docks. on our way back, we saw more dolphins. we got to the docks.

We never saw a whale, but the dolphins were a gas!

We took two tours and in the first one we seen a mega pod of dolphins, thousand of them all around the boat. On the second tour we had whales on the left and dolphins on the right. It was a very enjoyable time at sea and we are looking forward to more of these trips.

We went on a Valentine's sunset trip whale watching (departed at 4pm). We were served free champagne and cookies while enjoying the sights. We saw 3 fin whales and the captain was very skillful in getting us close to the whales every time they resurfaced. Make sure to bring warm clothes though because once the boat gets going, it gets very windy and cold.

We saw three Fin Whales on our trip! They are about 70-80 feet long each. At one point all three were swimming together and poked their heads above the water all at the same time. It was absolutely an amazing thing to see! I really recommend the Catamaran tour.

We had a lot of whale sightings and I had never seen whales that close before. It was really nice that the boat offered snacks and champagne in recognition of Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day sunset cruise out of Dana Point Harbor - beautiful weather, and we were able to stay with three whales most of the time on the water. The crew was informative and helpful.
