Fun close to shore bottom fishing

| the crew was friendly and more then willing to assist with any needs. I'm glad i chose a night trip mostly because of the number of people that can fit on a boat it can get very full, shoulder to shoulder full! the weather was a bit windy when i went causing the temp. to drop and the fish to not eat. I did catch one fish! But hey it's not called catching it's called fishing! i was just as happy to be out on the water watching the sun set and losing bait to a family of pesky seals. I would recommend going! The rates are very reasonable and it's fishing! | ||||||

| We had a wonderful time on the OCean Adventure Catamaran. My teenaged daughters loved it and want to go back and bring a group of their friends. Captain Larry and the Naturalist, Morgan made the trip a great adventure. We saw thousands of dolphins and one whale. We'll be back! | ||||||

| Obviously finding marine mammals in something the size of the ocean is a hit or miss proposition but our boat captain's experience brought us straight out to an enormous pod of dolphins, numbering at least several hundred in size. He then quickly located two California Grey whales and made sure to pass by a buoy on the way in where he knew sea lions regularly sunbathe. Couldn't have asked for a more fulfilling voyage. It would seem Mid-March is an excellent time to go whale watching as they migrate back up North and the weather and sea conditions were very favorable too. The Dana Pride is a nice size boat ... we didn't feel at all cramped even on a noon voyage on a Saturday. Highly recommend this adventure. | ||||||

| It was a beautiful day. We saw sea lions and two different types of dolphins. So it could easily have been a great trip. The captain, though, was decidedly unenthusiastic. Kind of ruined the moment. | ||||||

| we fished at about 3 sites and caught alot of fish for a half day trip it was really fun and the crew was really helpful especially when getting me a beer i would recommend it to all | ||||||

| Once again, the price is the main perk of this trip. We've been out many times before with this group, and for the price it can't be beat (especially if you are in a group). So for that reason, I recommend this trip with this outfit. I was disappointed this time though... it took 1 1/2 hr and a tip from a local fishing boat to find a whale. I admit that's not really the fault of the company. But, what was disappointing is that the 1 1/2 hrs was spent zipping up and down the coast in FREEZING weather with no commentary whatsoever. The least they could have done is talked a little about the gray whales while searching for them, or had some whale artifacts to look at or something to make it more than a boat ride at 8am on a Saturday in the cold, damp weather. When we finally found the whale, it did not disappoint. He put on a great show. We really only got to spend about 10 minutes tracking it because it was time to head back - everyone kept mentioning how it felt like it was being crammed into the last few minutes so that they wouldn't have to hand out vouchers for free trips since we technically saw a whale. But again, for the price, this is totally the way to go. | ||||||

| I've been on this trip twice this season. I think it is a great deal if you go on the discounted Tuesdays. I have two young children for whom being on the boat is at least half the fun; they love the dolphins and sea lions, and are excited about the whales. Given that most other whale watching trips in the area are upwards of $30/person, it's much more feasible for us as a family to go out on this trip. If you are planning a trip just for adults or with much older children, I think Captain Dave's trip is better; I think his teams are better at finding the whales and education is a huge piece of their trip. But for families on a budget, or particularly for families with small children who are just happy to take a boat ride and see a few dolphins (although we did see a whale the second time we took the trip), this is definitely the way to go. | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this trip. We saw several whale and dolphin throughout most of the 2 hour trip. The amenities on the boat are plentiful, and the crew was very friendly and informative about the sights we were seeing. | ||||||

| It was so much fun -- from the greeting by the staff, to the captain's whale expertise, to the dolphins showing off alongside the boat -- all wonderful. Best of all, of course, were the wonderful HUGE blue whales. A truly wonderful day! | ||||||

| My friend from Oklahoma and I went on the whale-watching cruise on 1/20/08 (sunday). The staff were kind and professional, and we had a wonderful trip. We did not see any whales, but we did run into a wonderfully playful group of "common dolphins" (i would say around 100) playing in the ocean. The captain turned the boat around so we could experience the dolphins to the fullest. it was delightful i would definitely recommend it to anyone! i will definitely take my family when they visit later this spring. | ||||||

| The trip was awesome. We saw so many dolphins swimming freely in the ocean. We saw a couple of sea lions. We didn't see any whales but it wasn't guarenteed that we would. I would highly recommend this activity. Quick tip though bring layers for clothing just incase it's windy. | ||||||
