Good overall trip, could have been better.

Crew was friendly and courteous, however I would have liked to see them do some chumming. While we were fishing, the crew sat around fishing with us when not doing other work. No complaints, otherwise.

Within 10 minutes of leaving the harbor we saw our first Whale and her calf! It was fantastic. We followed the two of them as the captain told interesting facts about the whales. It was a fantastic trip and I highly recommend it to ALL.

Nice Outing
Sun, Mar 29  2:00 PM kiasinn Male 40-49 Local Family With Children
The whale watching excursion was very relaxing and enjoyable. Our group consisted of 3 adults (42-45 yrs old) and 3 children (all 6 yrs old). We saw 3 gray whales and several sea lions. The weather was nice and the jaunt on the boat was relaxing. The kids had a great time since for some it was the first time on a boat ever. One improvement might be to specify where the line should begin to board the boat. A party of late comers chose not to line up with the rest of the customers and attempted to start their own line on the other side of the walkway which I thought was rude and unethical. I would definitely sign up for this again. Thanks, ---- Kirk

It is a memorable experience to see whales

It is wonderful to see these large gentle creatures. It would be a good idea if speed boats did not disturb the whales during the migration. You could also offer these trips to school students at discounted rates. Then local schools would organize whale watching trips. It would a good idea, if you could offer more adverturous SCUBA diving or snorkeling to see whales from under water.

Professional Crew

Found Whales right out of the Harbor. We tired of Whales and spent most of the day cruising through a hugh pod of Dolphin. At least 250 in this pod. The Dolphin put on a great show. We next sited 3 whales in a group on our way back to port. What a memorable experience.

When individuals from outside California call to make a reservation, please share more information about fishing conditions and how they are different through out the year. Also we were unaware that food would be available on the boat.

I booked the trip knowing that fishing would be questionable. Your web site held true and that was OK. My son's had never been on the ocean fishing and it was worth the looks on there face's. We will be back.... Thanks

Recomendable

Staff was friendly even if customers were not. We didn't see a whale, but they don't guarantee that you will. The dolphin's were cool.

Whale Watching / Dolphins

We are from Wisconsin and purchased tickets in advance. This worked very well. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced to cancel our 1200 reservation, but were able to quickly reschedule to the 1600 time slot by going online. The cruise was very nice, even though we did not see any whales. We were given the replacement tickets for a later date. (I'm not sure when we would use them.) Overall, still worth the trip! Thanks!!!

Not so Deep Sea Fishing
Tue, Mar 24  10:00 AM smewilson Male 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
There could be a number of reason why it was like this, (it was just the time of year, last week of March, or that a strom had made the waters cold, we had only half a day, ect.) but the deepest we ever fished in was 66 ft of water. Nothing substantialy large was caught eithe and I think it would be safe to say that most of the people didn't catch anything. The last spot we fished was in 18 ft of water. We road a half an hour down the coast (never more than 900 yds from shore) to our fishing spots. I remember a time when my dad went out deep sea fishing south of Portland where they were fishing in 900 ft of water and bringing in monster fish every cast . Maybe it was ingnorance on my part, but that was what I was hopeing for, not 18 ft of water with little rockfish. Perhaps it would have been better fishing on a longer trip. I don't konw.

Didn't catch any fish. Didn't even see dolphins or whales. Of course the ocean is beautiful and relaxing, but it was an expensive fishing trip for our group, and we were very disappointed.
