Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching

Didn't even get one bite. Boat and crew are for the most part ok. But judging by what was caught by all of the fishers on the boat this area is over-fished. Have been out about 6 times over last 15 years and the most I caught was 4 fish on one outing.

The boat was nice with a active crew, Very helpful and good with the passengers that needed it, Good food in the galley and plenty of cold things to drink. all around good trip.

We did this as a playdate with my four year old girls and their friends/moms and we had a really nice time. We got very lucky and saw multiple schools of dolphins and at least eight blue whales. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the boat was comfortable.

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, two-year-old grandson and I took the 5PM tour to see the blue whales and we were not disappointed. I have a fear of water (can't swim) and was afraid to take a smaller boat. The Dana Pride was perfect for me. We got seats on the top deck and saw our first whale within 10 minutes of leaving the dock. The boat was big enough so that I did not feel like I might fall in the water but not so big as to feel crowded. Our guide/pilot was very knowledgable about the whales and continued to find more for us to see as the time went on. We were a bit late getting back because we followed a pair of whales a little way down the coast so we could get a good view. This also allowed us to experience the sunset. We would do this trip again in a heartbeat.

Our captain/driver of our boat was great! He wanted to make sure everyone was having a great time. It easily accommodated our party of 6 people and we were all able to sit together! We saw a good amount of Blus whales, and will be coming back soon!

I would highly recommend this trip. We had 3 kids (7,5,3), who thoroughly enjoyed watching the dolphins, whales, and sea lions (NOT seals). The youngest 2 got pretty tired and fell asleep for the last 30 minutes. The guides were great and entertaining. They have restrooms on the boat, as well as drinks, chips, and hot dogs / grilled cheese if you are hungry.

The Blue Whales were amazing! Now I know why a Blue Whale got it's name. Also saw krill, the whales food.

An enjoyable two hours spent watching wales - lots of them!

We didn't catch anything, but for a non-fisher like me, the staff was super helpful and fishing on the oceanfront was a new adventure. I definitely recommend it!

We saw 5 whales and probably hundred of dolphins. What more could you ask for!

The size of the fish caught were barely legal. More encouragement by all to conserve and let our sportfish grow larger and more abundant would keep this wonderful sport ongoing.

There were twice as many anglers on the boat as would be a comfortable numner. Bad weather and bad catch was secondary because there wasnt enuff room on the boat to move around. every fish i caught was crossed with 1 or 2 other lines.

Beyond anything I imagined; I keep saying WOW! Will definitely be back

Staff was friendly and professional. Location was wonderful

The trip is highly reccomended and the captain's knowledge was extrordinary on the ecosystem and the animal life.
