It was a delightful experience for all six of us..
1/2 Priced Whale Watch (past event)

Six of us, three generations -- ranging in age from 79 to 22 took the tour, and everyone of us enjoyed it very much. This is the third time we have taken this tour, and each one seems to be more fun than the last. The weather was perfect, the tour guides very knowledgeable and helpful, and we saw lots of activity in the water. I didn't see a whale myself, but we saw several the last two years we were here. More fun than the whales are the hundreds of dolphin that we saw this time. They chase the wake, and surround the boat. We also saw hundreds of pelican feeding and diving for fish. It was just a very enjoyable, fun and delightful experience for all six of us.

On board staff very friendly and was impressed with their knowledge and dedication to their job and for the sea life. Enjoyed the cruise even though we did not see any whales. Many dolphins. We would do it again.

My companion and I enjoyed the experience very much and our guides found a whale and gave us the opportunity of viewing it for several minutes before encountering a large pod of dolphins . The crew of the vessel were very professional and were very conversant in the habits and behaviour of the animals which made our experience more enjoyable . We highly recommend the Dana Wharf organization to others who want to enjoy the experience we had .

I enjoyed a very entertaining trip with three exciting views of whale tail(s) and some dolphins right next to the boat. Interesting commentary made it even better!

I've been on the boat many times. People who run it are knowledgeable, good communicators, know where to go to play with our whale and dolsphine friends. They love their work and I never tire of the joy of being out on the water, experiencing the peace and connection with all the elements and the sentient Beings of the sea. Last trip was a rare day when we didn't see any, and it was a great day anyway......and we get a rain check. How good is that!. MzB.

It's interesting and worth seeing

I am a grandfather 75 years old. I went with my wife who is 66 years old. We moved around the boat with little trouble, even though it was rocky at times. We went in early January. There was a little wind, but that was expected. We knew it would be a little cold, so we dressed appropriately. The inside of the boat has snacks and drinks for sale. The boat has a very heavy zippered plastic covering on the sides of the boat that completely cover the inside of the boat. You could see out. It was warm in there. We stayed outside at times on the front of the boat and saw the whales as they swam around and made themselves visible to us. We also saw lots of dolphins, and some seals. For the money it is a wonderful trip. Took lots of photos to show our kids. Would recommend this to anyone young or old. Bud from Orange County, California.

A great activity for my 13 year old grandson
Sun, Aug 29, 10   2:00 PM nhguthrie Female 70+ Local Family With Children
When looking for this type of activity for my grandson, I went to the internet to chose the cruise that I thought would work for us. Had we not seen dolphins and a blue whale, I thought it very good customer relations that those of us onboard would receive a "rain check". The crew was very efficient, personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this activity.

Skipper favors starboard side.
Tue, Aug 24, 10   5:00 PM 3fishermen Male 70+ Local Family With Children
The skipper always positioned the boat for starboard side viewing from 2:00 o'clock position relative to the bow. We were on the 10:00 o'clock position on the bow and were only able to get a little view through the people standing against the starboard bow rail. It would be nice if he could bring the boat about so the entire length of the boat could get a view of the whale. I don't think many people on the boat even saw it.

not really a whale watch.....good dolphin adventure.....good narration for them..I..would have like to know the frequency of a chance to see a whale or whales instead of " the capt worked real hard to find one yesterday".......or as we turned for port we were told " now we will go back and see the whale the capt spotted "..........which was really never brought up again as we returned to port with no further mention of any whale s.........i realize these sittings are hit and miss from other whale watch trips i have been on. clean boat, really courteous crew.
