| We enjoyed the boat ride but saw only a few dolphins and no whale. As we took the whale watching and were wanting to see whales, of course we were disappointed. We did this trip 5 or 6 years ago and although we again did not see whales, we ran into a large group of dolphins jumping up and running along side he boat for almost a 1/2 hour. | ||||||

| All in all, an interesting experience. For me, it was my first time fishing, so it was exciting to learn how to fish and to catch my first fish. Fishing was in general a bit slow, but that was probably due to factors beyond the crew's control, such as the season, the reality of over-fishing, and the necessary relative proximity to shore. The crew was generally quite helpful, assisting customers in taking in and preparing their caught fish and informing customers about the various fish they caught. It was also good to know that they used radar to detect schools of fish so as to enhance the chances that we could catch some. One note: if you happen to catch any mackerel, which is fairly likely since they are quite a common fish, they will most likely tel you that it is a no-good fish. However, there are plenty of recipes online of how best to cook mackerel and I must say, it is actually a very tasty fish, and fairly healthy as well! High in Protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. So keep any mackerel you may catch! | ||||||

| The process was professional and the crew very competent While on the excursion, was told that this "really isn't the time to look for whales, that comes in a month or two" by a local who regularly liked to take the trip to study dolphins, or so he said. If that is true, I think it would be better for the company to highlight that fact. | ||||||

| We showed up 30 minutes early and sat on the wharf after trading our voucher for tickets. Right on time, the crew showed and started loading. We saw many small whales and dolphins and met several interesting people. The cost of refreshments was surprisingly low and the crew was very informative. We got back as the sun was going down and the temperature dropped, but not to where I needed my jacket. The whale excursion made for a great start to a fantastic vacation. | ||||||

| It was ok for taking friends that have never been deep sea fishing. However, the Captain kept moving around and picking "not so great areas" I felt we moved around too much wasting valuable fishing time. | ||||||

| There should be more assistance for the people that have never been on a fishing trip. Example: When we arrived at the place we didn't know were to start who to ask for help. Once we went on the ship there were no assistance with the fishing rod as to were is a good place to put your hand, what to do for the reel to not get like a birds nest, etc... Some additional assistance would be nice. I had to ask folks that seemed to know what they were doing. Some would just ignore me. Other than that it was Great. | ||||||

| Everyone on board caught very little fish. I think this was partially due to the fact that the bait fish were too large. Although the crew was great and did their best to help us catch fish, I think on a planning level the trip could have been handled better. For example we could have gone to a better fishing ground, or gotten proper bait for the places we went. | ||||||

| 9-21-08: Beautiful day for a fishing trip! Hadn't been out on the ocean all year and was very pleased with this trip. Crew was friendly and helpful, the bite was ok. I remembered the fish counts don't tell you how much you actually catch and release, so the bite was better than fish counts indicated. Caught a wide variety of fish and didn't do any bottom fishing, so I was pleased about that. Just found out about Dana Kids, so next time, will bringing the young 'uns. Would highly recommend Dana Wharf to anyone considering it. | ||||||

| The trip was cancelled after spending only 30 min on the water. They would not give us our money back. They only gave us a voucher. I can't go back because I am leaving the state. I wasted $30! | ||||||
