Awsome Trip!!!
Mon, Mar 16  10:00 AM debbieclark1 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Would recommend this to anyone and everyone. The entire family from Texas (10 total 4 children ages 4 to 9 and 6 adults) enjoyed this adventure. The experience was worth every penny. The kids are still talking about the things they got to see. Thank you for adding to our trip to Southern California. The Clark Family!!!

Wonderful experience!

We took the 2-hour catamaran whale watching trip and had an amazing time! We saw multiple grey whales, including one that breached fully out of the water, and loads of dolphins (which were even more exciting to watch than the whales because they come so close to the boat). The catamaran is a little more expensive, but worth it due to a smaller passenger load and a marine biologist on board (Morgan). Morgan was a huge asset, as her knowledgeable commentary about what we were seeing was very helpful. One warning: the catamaran does move up and down significantly, even when idling in one place. It is very hard to get good pictures because of this and I actually missed 2 of the 3 breaches while I was messing around with my camara controls. Thank goodness I stopped, because I did witness the 3rd and final breach, which Morgan assured me was a most uncommon occurence. As one passenger said, " You'll always have the memory of what you saw and you can buy a postcard at the wharf taken with a better camara," Finally, while I wasn't seasick, the motion of this smaller boat is pretty noticeable...and it gets chilly on the water. Bring a sweater! Overall, a fantastic experience with a great company.

The captain did a great job in making sure we saw the whales and gave us interesting history and stories in between sightings.

Watched a pod of 3
Sat, Mar 14  2:00 PM srahearn Female 50-59 Local Other
The day was cloudy and cold until we got out on the water, then the sun broke through and it was beautiful. We watched a pod of 3 whales for about 30 minutes or more, then caught some sea lions napping on a buoy. My granddaugher -age 14- absorbed a lot of information from the naturalist and really enjoyed our outing. We will definitely do this again.

AN Unforgettable Experience

Seeing the whales was indescribably stirring. The catamaran crew were great; marine biologist on board very informative and made the experience much more meaningful. Logistics couldn't have been easier or smoother. We had a fantastic time and are looking forward to going again.

Excellent outing

We've done this a few times and never cease to be amazed at what we see. This past Saturday we saw three grey whales for about 75% of our two hour cruise. Even the times when we have not seen whales we have seen a lot of other wildlife (dolphins, etc) in their natural habitat. Great outing.

Great Day!

We had not left the harbor by more then 200 yards when we came upon three gray whales courting and then mating. Truely a once in a life time experience! if that was not enough we then found a large pod of dolphins that entertained us for a good thirty minutes. We could not have asked for a better trip!

Rare opportunity off CA coast
Sat, Mar 14  9:00 AM mitchchernes Male 50-59 Local Family With Children
Found a whale fairly quickly, soon joined by another. Watch as the whale breached about three times. Another whale joined, now we are watching three whales. In a rare opportunity we were able to observe the whales mating. This was unbelievable, and kept the whales on top of the water most of time.

Beautiful Boat, Wonderful Crew
Sat, Mar 14  8:00 AM Richele Female 50-59 Local Family With Children
The boat was very nice and clean, the crew members were very friendly and helpful. The food offered on board was good and was fairly priced. So often food is overpriced (movie theatres) when they have a captive audience, but NOTwith this company. When a whale was spotted, the skipper gave us information about it (the whale) and told us what direction to look, as well as what the whale might do next. Also gave us great information about the sea lions lounging on a buoy. We very much appreciated the discount price as we would not have been able to afford to take our family on this lovely trip at the regular price. This was a great deal!

Great Fun!

Fabulous cruise with my college-student daughter. Equally thrilling and relaxing. We saw three whales and followed two of them for about 90 minutes! They entertained us with "plumes" and "flukes," (and we all agreed we'd have applauded for even more tail). Got super photos, enjoyed perfectly brewed hot chocolate and engaged in interesting conversations with folks from around the country. I look forward to going again!

Great Captain, Good Trip
Sat, Mar 7  1:00 PM donnaayotte Female 50-59 Local Family With Children
I would recommend this trip to anyone who can stand for two hours. We saw whales from the beginning, our luck, and our Captain was very knowledgable and we enjoyed his stories. I would not recommend this for people who cannot stand for two hours, as there was no seating per se. Otherwise the trip was good and I would go again.
