It was a great trip. Crew was awesome and the catch was good. Can't beat the breakfast burritos. I will definitely be hitting this spot up on Tuesday & Wednesdays.
Fun but a bit disappointing Catamaran Adventure Cruises

The reason I say disappointing is - the ad reads blue whale season begins in May. One of the first things the captain announced was, blue whale season begins in late May/early June. Perhaps you should change the dates to reflect this more accurately. The catamaran ride was great though.

This has been one of the best local cruises’ I have taken in quite awhile! The staff was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the animals we came upon, which made it a great experience for the kids. On a more romantic note, the scenic views coupled with the fresh – ocean air made for an enjoyable trip for my friend, and me especially since I had a few extra bucks in my pocket due to the cruise being so affordable, sweet.

I had a really good time. We didn't see any whales but it was past the time of migration so to be expected. We saw sea lions up close, and tons of common dolphins, some bottle nose dolphins, and a lot of birds diving into the water. It was more than I expected, the dolphins were swimming so close to the boat and jumping out of the water. It was a lot of fun and worth the price (a lot cheaper than other places in the area).

This was a great two hour cruise with a great crew. The crew worked very hard at finding marine mammals to view. We found a large group of dolphins that were a great joy to view.

It's always a pleasure to go out on the Twighlight trip with Dana Wharf Sportfishing. 4 hours is a perfect amount of time with children and/or folks trying out fishing for the first time. It's short enough that if it's not working out or you're getting seasick you'll be back soon enough but it's long enough to get some real fishing done. I've done this trip several times now (I think that this was my fourth) and for the first time my son fished the entire time instead of playing with the bait fish in the bait tank for the last part of the trip. He was a fisherman instead of a fisherman's son. We'll be thinking about a longer trip now but will still go out on this once in a while with newbies. The crew is great. The galley is great. You don't have to get up early in the morning to go. I recommend it.

We went on the weekend because we were in town then and knew that a Marine Biologist was on board. She was extremely knowledgeable and the trip on a whole was very exciting. We saw a pod of about 500 dolphins and then were able to see a rare sighting of 2 humpback whales!! We stayed out longer than our allotted time because of a tip that whales were sighted. They asked everyone if we could stay out later and we all agreed and were pleased to see the whales. It was so worth it. Fantastic!!

We all had a great time and would love to go back for more. Since we went April 30th we did not expect to see any whales. It was a beautiful day on a very nice boat with nice staff and they did diligently try to find whales for us. The staff was very nice and accommodating to peoples needs.

The 5 hour fishing trip run by Dana Wharf is very well organized and is a real fun day. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. They provide more than enough live bait for the whole day of fishing. Although we did not catch much fish due to the early time of the year it was still a fun trip and we did see a lot of marine wildlife like sea lions and a whale. Everyone in my group is interested in doing this fishing trip again.

Having done some research and read others reviews, I went on this trip with the understanding that I may not see any whales this late in the season. I booked this trip because of the location to where I was staying, the price (half price Tuesday) and a recommendation from a family member who has taken the cruise before. I have to say, I was not disappointed! The crew were all terrific, the boat was clean & comfortable and the refreshments available were great. I also like the fact that if no dolphins or whales were sighted, you would be issued a credit for a future cruise. We were lucky enough to see seals and LOTS of playful dolphins. We spent a lot of time with them and our captain explained their feeding habits and general behavior. I would HIGHLY recommend this whale watch to anyone. You may not see whales, but you will have a wonderful day!

We saw 2 groups of dolphins on our trip, bottle nose dolphins that weren't as playful, and common dolphins that were more into the bow ridin :) The marine biologist on our boat was very friendly and knowledgeable, answered all our questions. I know the group tried to find some whales, but we were out of luck. Still, very enjoyable trip and would highly recommend it to others.

The whale watch was just okay. We didn't see any whales, however we do understand that it's the end of the grey whale migration. We did see dolphins and sea lions. We enjoyed the trip, although I thought 2 hours was a little short. The staff were friendly but not very exciting. I'd say it's a good tour if you just want to go out and see what you may see, but don't expect too much.

Many in our group were very inexperienced. The deck hands were so VERY patient and friendly. They repeatedly untangled our lines with a smile. They took the time out to explain things. Although we didn't catch any fish, we had a very good time. I believe that we owe this in great part to your crew. I am not very good with names but I believe that the lead deckhand was named Mike(?)...short brown hair, raised in San Clemente, tatoo on his calf....friend and warm personality. I would recommend your fishing outfit to my friends.
