| From leaving the dock, to returning our needs were met. The crew was right there for advice, helping to untangle lines and take fish off the hooks. The Capton did all he could by taking us from spot to spot to find fish that would cooperate and bite. The Galley was good, and the food also good. I will be back out when the time allows it for me. I will recommend the trip to anyone wanting a great fishing experience. A great day for the kids also. | ||||||

Too far to see whales

| The boat docked 10 minutes late and came back on time. We were a good 100 ft away from the whale, so it was very hard to see. I would not do it again. | ||||||

| We had a really lovely trip! The captain and crew were very friendly and knowledgeable and made the experience fun for everyone. There was lots of excitement when we found a rare pod of Dahl's Porpoises. We also saw a resting grey whale, and around 50 bottlenose dolphins. The dolphins' antics even encouraged the seasick members of our group to get up and watch! All in all, we had a great time and will go again. =) | ||||||

| The weather was good and the accomodations were good also. The staff was helpful in setting up the proper gear and bait. Although the catch of fish was minimal, there was a grey whale pup that was seen, dolphins, and an awnry sea lion (I expect he was catching fish), All in all a good trip and reasonably priced. I expect to go on another sea fishing adventure this summer when the fish are a little more plentiful. | ||||||

| Crew was friendly and courteous, however I would have liked to see them do some chumming. While we were fishing, the crew sat around fishing with us when not doing other work. No complaints, otherwise. | ||||||

| It was a beautiful day and being out on a ship is always nice. Their boat was a nice boat, the tourist were the first to see the whale tale, not the crew. and that's all we saw...but it could have been a bad day to go too. | ||||||

| I have had the pleasure to ride on the Cat boat three times, all with different groups of family and children. First time, we did not see whales, but saw three different kinds of dolphins, which was absolutely amazing, so I did not miss the whales. The next two times, we spotted whales - which was great! But, I think it is the dolphins that really make the trip! They are so fun and playful, the whole boat goes crazy when they swim by the boat. I highly recommend this adventure for the whole family! | ||||||

| Within 10 minutes of leaving the harbor we saw our first Whale and her calf! It was fantastic. We followed the two of them as the captain told interesting facts about the whales. It was a fantastic trip and I highly recommend it to ALL. | ||||||

| The ship was clean and the crew nice and helpful. The captain gave all kinds of interesting information about whales and other sea life. We saw a grey whale and her calf breaching as they swam along. This time we left on time and came back on time. All in all a very fun trip. My kids loved the boat ride almost as much as seeing the whales. | ||||||

| It was a sunny day and we were ready to see some whales. Unfortunately, there were none to be seen. The boat ride was fun...(a wee bit chilly but fun) We saw some sea lions and dolphins. We are from Minnesota and had to turn our raincheck tickets over to our family members that live in the area. Hopefully they will be able to book another outing and get to see some whales. One recommendation to The Dana Warf at Dana Point; when selling tickets to out of town guests, there should be an option for a full refund. Lucky for us we could give our tickets to family members that live 15 minutes away. If not...I would be out $110.00. | ||||||

| The whale watching excursion was very relaxing and enjoyable. Our group consisted of 3 adults (42-45 yrs old) and 3 children (all 6 yrs old). We saw 3 gray whales and several sea lions. The weather was nice and the jaunt on the boat was relaxing. The kids had a great time since for some it was the first time on a boat ever. One improvement might be to specify where the line should begin to board the boat. A party of late comers chose not to line up with the rest of the customers and attempted to start their own line on the other side of the walkway which I thought was rude and unethical. | It is wonderful to see these large gentle creatures. It would be a good idea if speed boats did not disturb the whales during the migration. You could also offer these trips to school students at discounted rates. Then local schools would organize whale watching trips. It would a good idea, if you could offer more adverturous SCUBA diving or snorkeling to see whales from under water. | ||||||
