| Our group consisted of a family of ten: grandparents, parents, kids aged from 3 years to 9 years. Part of the group was visiting from Germany. It was a beautiful, albeit chilly, day in January 2009. Since this was a "fringe" migration time, we didn't expect to see many whales. We didn't see a one, but we did see hundreds of playful dolphins, which is always a hoot. We also saw sea lions in the water and lounging on buoys. Great! On our way to the whalewatching site, we were making our way from Manhattan Beach, and were put behind schedule (potty stop for little guys) and BARELY made it to the wharf on time. We were soooo concerned, I called while we were still on the freeway, and the office called us back to check on our progress as we made our way into the parking lot. Tense time, but we made it. The staff and crew were super friendly, upbeat, smiley - which we needed right about then - and made it a fun excursion. The captain was informative about the sea life, the galley was open and welcoming, and all were helpful. Not many on board this time of year, and we were happy to be part of it! Very comfortable boat. We recommend it! | ||||||

| I thought when I booked the tickets, if we didn't see any whales, we would get a raincheck for another day. We did not see any. I was disappointed, and so was my family from out of town. | ||||||

| We spotted hundreds of dolphins and followed a Blue Whale for several breathing cycles. The marine expert was helpful and answered all of our questions. We got some fantastic pictures and the kids really enjoyed the trip. | ||||||

| I have been fishing out of Dana Point before; it was my friends (co-worker) first time fishing any where!! The boat was a bit crowded, but there is no way to control that, it turned out to be fine!!! The Captain and Crew were very helpful and took care of everyone on board, that's very important!! The day was really nice, however we didn't catch hardly a thing, I only caught a few fish and all were too small and had to be tossed back into the ocean. The jack pot winner was a very small fish!! I believe there were 55 people on board and all put their $5.00 in the jack pot, so the guy received a huge amount for a very small fish, nice going who ever that was!! Fishing for me is just Fun!! I have been fishing out of other docks and some places the Captain and crew have not been very friendly I do love being out at sea and just the whole idea of fishing!! I believe that if the Captain and Crew don't project that feeling of fun and friendliness it just isn't worth it at all. However on this day it was the contrary and the Captain and Crew made it fun so not catching any fish made it ok - Thank You So Very Much!!! I've been fishing other times when I have caught nothing so it was fine for me, I just felt bad for my friend!! However, she said she had a Great time, only because of the Captain and Crew and would go again (Me Too) even though she didn't catch anything!! After all that's why they call it fishing instead of catching!!!! | ||||||

| The crew really made efforts to show us the blue whale and we saw where it was (water spout) but the whale wasn't so cooperative in coming above the surface! The crew then made a successful effort to catch up with a pod of dolphins and we were able to watch the dolphins on both sides of the boat swimming and jumping out of the water. This was a neat experience! The boat was not too crowded so it made viewing easy. I would recommend this cruise to others. | ||||||

| I had wonderful time. First time whale watching and we were able to see 3 blue whales. I was told by the crew that it was rare to see more than 1. the crew was great, fun and enthusiastic. Will take the kids again in the future! | ||||||

| The boat was really nice and the people were great. We were able to see some sea lions and a huge pod of dolphins. It was an incredible sight to see and I would definately recommend it to anyone. The boat however was very rocky so if you are a person that gets sea sick at all - you either may want to rethink or take precautions. | ||||||

| My boyfriend took me on this whale watching adventure for my Birthday and it was absoutely amazing. We saw a pod of killer whales while we were out at sea. It was awesome seeing the whales in their natural habitat (rather than seeing Shamu at Seaworld--of which I love btw). The crew was awesome! I was feeling a little seasick and a member of the crew would stop by and ask if I was doing ok and if I needed anything. :) Thanks guys--if you're reading this. I would definitely recommend everyone to go whale watching with these guys. They're really professional and courteous and know what they are doing. It'll be worth every penny. (Don't forget to tip the crew when you return back to the dock). | ||||||

| What started as a local jaunt to celebrate a birthday turned out to be one of the best whale watching experiences we've ever had. As our ship headed back to Dana Point harbor at the end of the trip, our captain spotted a pod of about a hundred dolphins in the distance. He turned the ship around to follow the pod even though we had come to the end of the tour. Our ship was surrounded by dolphins leaping out of the water -- truly a joyous experience. Granted, we were extremely lucky to find the pod, but kudos to the captain for spotting the pod and delaying our return to the harbor to give us this experience. | ||||||
