| This was a 2 hour whale watching trip up toward the Pacific. The first 1hour 1/2 did not see anything but some California Sea Lions. On the way back, it was getting closer to having to get a refund on the ticket if whales was not seen. Captain spotted a whale, but was really hard to see. It was disappointing. (Some air blowing out of blow hole, far away) Incrediable! *Captain said that Grays only come up a few minutes for air after every 5-6 minutes under water. | ||||||

tangled mess/ "over qualified" captain

| First off , the tangled mess was especially frustrating.To add to that no one knew what do do in the event of a tangled mess besides the deckhand. Second , the capatain of the "Clemente" drove us away from a spot where the the fish could be seen from the deck. Some people were even hooked up as we were pulling away. We then drove to a second spot that was right near the barges parked just south of the San Clemente Pier. That spot was horrible. No bites , nibbles , nothing , by anyone that i could see. We then drove to a third spot that was just as bad as the previously mentioned one. Then , to top off the frustration , the over qualified captain (I'm saying that very saurcasticly) drove us back to the original spot where we then fished for about 15-20 min. or so then called it a day and drove back to port. Idon't recomend the 1/2 dat trip to anyone that likes to fish. And I won't be giving them any more of my business or recomending them to my friends / family. | ||||||

| The boat was over packed I think with around 50 fisherman. The fishing was very poor, but this is not due the the crew tring to find the fish they tried very hard to find the fish moving serveral times. The main issue was the fast moving current and people not following there lines. The breakfast Burrito was very good. | ||||||

| The crew really made efforts to show us the blue whale and we saw where it was (water spout) but the whale wasn't so cooperative in coming above the surface! The crew then made a successful effort to catch up with a pod of dolphins and we were able to watch the dolphins on both sides of the boat swimming and jumping out of the water. This was a neat experience! The boat was not too crowded so it made viewing easy. I would recommend this cruise to others. | ||||||

| I had wonderful time. First time whale watching and we were able to see 3 blue whales. I was told by the crew that it was rare to see more than 1. the crew was great, fun and enthusiastic. Will take the kids again in the future! | ||||||

| My boyfriend took me on this whale watching adventure for my Birthday and it was absoutely amazing. We saw a pod of killer whales while we were out at sea. It was awesome seeing the whales in their natural habitat (rather than seeing Shamu at Seaworld--of which I love btw). The crew was awesome! I was feeling a little seasick and a member of the crew would stop by and ask if I was doing ok and if I needed anything. :) Thanks guys--if you're reading this. I would definitely recommend everyone to go whale watching with these guys. They're really professional and courteous and know what they are doing. It'll be worth every penny. (Don't forget to tip the crew when you return back to the dock). | ||||||
