We had a fun and relaxing day

| I'm not a fisherman and was therefore a bit stressed about tying hooks onto the lines and baiting these hooks. The crew on board the Clemente was extremely helpful, polite and courteous. They made the trip very enjoyable. They were great with my kids, teaching them about the different types of fish we were catching, baiting their hooks for them and tying any hooks for me. The crew did all of the "dirty work" for us and we simply had to drop the bait into the water. The meals were also reasonably priced. | ||||||

| The trip was expensive for what you got. The rod rental was extra. And the up-grade was outrageous. 1 Day license, rod, trip, fish bag, plus fish fillet, totaled $70.00. | ||||||

Slow Fishing, but Good Times

| I went out on the slowest day I've ever seen, but I still had a good time. Dana Wharf generously gave 10% off people's next trip due to the slow fishing, which they didn't need to do, but was definitely appreciated. The deck hands were friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. | ||||||

| Seeing two mature blue whales up fairly close and tracking them for an hour was a great experience. Seeing a school of nursing dolphins on the way out was a bonus. Paying $20 extra per person for the 1pm cruise gets you a trip on their brand new catamaran which is fast, quiet and clean with no diesel or exhaust fumes. The crew was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a little luck with the whales as we did, it's hard to see how you could not enjoy this trip. | ||||||

A great whale-watching excursion

| This short (2 hour) boat trip was a great time. We saw a huge school (pod?) of dolphins - around 1000! We also saw whales although they were being reclusive and not showing much of themselves out of the water. The birdlife was very extensive - hundreds of cormorants, pelicans, etc. We also passed by a buoy to see a group of sea lions. The captain was knowledgeable about sealife and gave a good amount of information about it. I would highly recommend this trip. | ||||||

| A friend and I decided to go out on a 1/2 day boat. Weather was great, the fish were biting quite well. All in all, we enjoyed it a lot and plan to go again on a regular basis. The crew was very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend. | ||||||

| Twilight fishing is great, however, I will not bring friends again to Dana Wharf. This was like my sixth time of bringing friends (in groups) and all but one time I and they came home with nothing. I had 5 people with me this time, and when everyone was catching fish they decided to move to another spot because most were smaller. I had 4 other people that were gonna come but couldn't make it--thank God. Well, we didn't get anymore bites the rest of the night--even after 2 more moves. We should have stayed where we were catching fish. I know you can't catch fish every time, but this isn't the first trip that we were catching fish and they decided to move. Aside from occassionally using the benefits of Kids Club, I probably wont use Dana Wharf again. I've had sucky experiences with about 30 different friends I've taken to Dana Wharf, including a bunch of friends for my brother's bachelor party night. Tooo disappointing. | ||||||

| this trip is a great outing if anything is spotted. it not it's slightly boring but they give you your ticket back if that is the case, allowing you to go again whenever you want for free so really, no matter what you always have a chance to see marine life. seeing the dolphins and whales is very thrilling. hopefully you see them on your outing... | ||||||

| This was a fantastic trip. The boat was beautiful and comfortable and the crew was very professional and knowledgable. We saw 6 whales with the first one spotted within 5 minutes of leaving the dock. A great time was had by all! | ||||||

| I invited my children from San Fransisco to come and enjoy waching whales. The smal children were very exited. About 2 hours cruise we did not see any of sea animals. They told us we can try one more time. Hopefully the children will come again and partisipate. | ||||||

| it was okay nice to go out to the water.I have a 5 and 10 year old child my 5 year old got really bored after the first hour but my daughter enjoyed it. We didn't see anything till just before the trip ended so it was a little long when all you can see is the ocean for miles. | ||||||

| About the time we should have turned back to return to the harbor a whale was spotted! Thank goodness the pilot let us watch the whale for a while. He moved the boat closer and even phoned a marine biologist to check on the whale's behavior. We had a great time. | ||||||

| WE came from Oklahoma to vacation, this was on our to do list. Booked it over the phone, very easy. Directions was very easy, had no problem finding it or the parking. Got on the boat without any problem, was able to walk about the boat, which made it easy to go to side to side to see the whales. I recommed not setting on the inside, you have to get up and go out to see anything, we stayed on the back of the boat which was beautiful. The guide was excellent at finding us whales, I believe we came upon 2 within 30 min., followed them for an hour. Brought us upon another 2 whales feeding. Didn't see dolphins, but that was because we had such a great turn-out on whales, so we didn't mind, after all we were whale-watching. The boat ride was smooth. Over all, excellent experience, the tickets were cheap and they took us to whales. So if you ever want to see whales, do it because they make it a very easy to get tickets, to get there and make it worth your wild. | ||||||

| Our family enjoyed this boat ride very much. It gave us the opportunity to go out on the Pacific Ocean in a relaxing catamaran with someone else in charge at the helm. Although we did not see much of the two whales in the area and no dolphins at all on the day that we went, we still enjoyed the scenic ride even though the windy weather made for a little bumpy ride on the way out. Heading back to shore we got up close to sea lions hanging around on a buoy. | ||||||
