Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching

It was super fun and would do it again.

The organization and process of ticketing, boarding, and disembarking was great. The crew was nice and they tried hard to find some whales in the two hour cruise. We spotted some riso dolphins near the end of the cruise and got up close for some good pictures of them. The ship was clean and comfortable. They did give us a $5 discount on fishing or whale watching later on.

The weather was great and the tour was nice, but my son really wanted to see whales. We saw lots of dolphins and they chased the boat and were jumping which was very neat, but no whales. We saw the sea lions for a brief min. They all sat on a marker and we pasted them on the way back to shore. I'm not sure if they would have given us a voucher for not seeing whales, but they didn't offer it up, and at the end we were kind of rushed off the boat. It was fun but you probably could find a cheaper dolphin tour

We went out on the 12 pm boat and we had a blast.....the fish werent biting much but the crew did a great job and we all had fun. They tried several different spots to find fish but unfortunately it was a bit too windy so the fish were not easy to come by. Despite the lack of fish we had a great time out on the boat and I would definately do it again.

What's not to like about being out on the water on a beautiful day. Take the time to talk with the crew. They were so friendly and informative. Although we didn't see any whales, we did run into hundreds of dolphins and watched them for about an hour.

The ride was fine... we saw a few dolphins but it was a pretty boring trip. Two hours seemed like too long to be on such rough water and not see any whales... probably wouldn't go again :(

I went on the fishing boat thinking I was going to catch a lot of fish and big ones but I ended up wasting my time and money. I didn't catch anything. I don't recommend fishing with Dana Wharf.

As soon as we left the harbor, we headed straight for a whale sighting, it was amazing, I would definitely recommend this to anyone

Surprise $2 fee to clean each squid. Couldn't take home whole. Didn't find out about fee until near end of trip with 16 squid in sack. Great trip otherwise.

The boat was great and we saw a whale, some seals, and some dolphins, so really got all we wanted out of it. The main complaint was the crowd which was full of rude people (no fault of the tour) and the galley had a football game on full blast in surround, which didn't lend itself to the experience at all. The crew is great and knowledgeable. Overall, definitely recommended.

Took my Nephew out to a squid trip both of us had a great time and I loved the fact that they had blue moon beer on the boat.

ANYONE CONSIDERING THE OCEAN ADVENTURES TOURS FROM MORNING OR EVENING DEPARTATIONS, ARE SPECTACULAR. I JUST WENT ON MY ADVENTURE CRUISE WITH MY FAMILY 7-20-09 AND SAW A BLUE WHALE!! IT WAS DEFINATELY WONDERFUL TO ENJOY ALONG WITH THE FAMILY, WE ALSO SAW MANY OF THE RISSO DOLPHINS AND JUST GORGEOUS PODS OF OTHER DOLPHINS. VERY INFORMATIONAL ALSO, YOU ARE EDUCATED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY WITH THE CAPTAIN IN CHARGE OF SPEAKING, AND A NICE CREW TO SERVE YOU. VERY EXCITING BEING SO CLOSE TO THE SIGHTS OF ACTION OFF THE BOAT, WHICH WAS ALSO BEAUTIFUL I MIGHT ADD. EVERY ONE ON THE BOAT HAD PLENTY OF ROOM TO WATCH AND ENJOY IN THEIR OWN SPACE ON ALL SIDES OF THE BOAT WHETHER YOU CHOOSE WHALE WATCHING, FISHING OR EVENING OCEAN ADVENTURES YOU WILL SURELY ENJOY YOURSELF WITH FAMILY OR ON A ROMANTIC CRUISE, AND EVEN ALONE, WE MET VERY NICE STRANGERS

Awsome experience seeing the Blue whales!

Friendly, helpful crew made the fishing enjoyable. We caught enough fish for dinner without landing anything very large. It was winter fishing and we were satisfied with the day. Equipment rented was fine and bait supplied did the tick.
