A Fun Time!!!

| The only down side was that we did not find any whales on our excursion (the cruise just before ours had found one). However, it was more than made up for by the "jackpot" of dolphins we found. There were literally hundreds in a massive pod. They put on quite a show for us. Weather was beautiful and cruise employees were excellent. | ||||||

| Would recommend this to anyone and everyone. The entire family from Texas (10 total 4 children ages 4 to 9 and 6 adults) enjoyed this adventure. The experience was worth every penny. The kids are still talking about the things they got to see. Thank you for adding to our trip to Southern California. The Clark Family!!! | ||||||

| We took the 2-hour catamaran whale watching trip and had an amazing time! We saw multiple grey whales, including one that breached fully out of the water, and loads of dolphins (which were even more exciting to watch than the whales because they come so close to the boat). The catamaran is a little more expensive, but worth it due to a smaller passenger load and a marine biologist on board (Morgan). Morgan was a huge asset, as her knowledgeable commentary about what we were seeing was very helpful. One warning: the catamaran does move up and down significantly, even when idling in one place. It is very hard to get good pictures because of this and I actually missed 2 of the 3 breaches while I was messing around with my camara controls. Thank goodness I stopped, because I did witness the 3rd and final breach, which Morgan assured me was a most uncommon occurence. As one passenger said, " You'll always have the memory of what you saw and you can buy a postcard at the wharf taken with a better camara," Finally, while I wasn't seasick, the motion of this smaller boat is pretty noticeable...and it gets chilly on the water. Bring a sweater! Overall, a fantastic experience with a great company. | ||||||

| The weather warmed up from previous days, so it turned out to be a lovely afternoon in hopes for a great or somewhat successful fishing trip. Met a lot a friendly people, but that was about it. They don't tell you really about the success rate of catching fish until about 1/2 through when you have not really even gotten a bite that the water is still to cold for fish to be caught. They should just let you know upfront that many excursions are coming up empty handed to say the least. This was on a Sunday. My other family members went out on their 1/2 price special two days later and it was worse, they didn't even have any bites. Your just paying for a boat ride. Might as well go whale watching for the same price, that way you know you are only going for a "scenic" ride. Most people on the boat caught nothing only 1 or at the most 3 people caught 1 fish each. | ||||||

| We saw more dolphins than we saw whales. I love dolphins too but we were on a whale watch tour. We saw 1 grey whale very briefly. Maybe spent just about 15 minutes. The captain should have looked for at least another. It was not bad of a tour. But I would have loved to see a couple more whales at least. | ||||||

| The whole family had a good time on this trip. We had two 4 yr olds so we were a bit worried about how they would do and it all went fine. I think however that about 90 min into the 2 hr trip both girls started to feel some motion sickness. We had brought crackers and juice with us along with other snacks and that seemed to settle their stomachs. We saw two whales and a huge school of dolphins as well as some sea lions. Boat personnel were very nice and it all went well. There are tables and benchs on top of the boat so if you want that, get in line early to get first dibs. Also if you want a good spot at the front of the boat. Set your camera on telephoto and sports speed. | ||||||

| We had a great time and yes we saw several whales. The amount of people on the boat was just right with everyone able to see because it wasn't crowded. We went during the Festival of Whales and the whole event was wonderful and we hope to make it again next year! | ||||||

| Zerve staff were helpful, tickets were easy to obtain. Dana Wharf directions/parking are straightforward. Two hours is more than enough time (nine/twelve year old boys would have been really bored by anything more). Saw 4 grey whales, captain gives informative commentary. | ||||||

| Although the ride was a bit chilly (you may want to add on an extra layer to those you plan on wearing), the crew was very friendly and the scenery was great. We saw a number of gray whales and the boat's pilot did a nice job putting us in a reasonable position to view them. We had a great time. | ||||||

| The day was cloudy and cold until we got out on the water, then the sun broke through and it was beautiful. We watched a pod of 3 whales for about 30 minutes or more, then caught some sea lions napping on a buoy. My granddaugher -age 14- absorbed a lot of information from the naturalist and really enjoyed our outing. We will definitely do this again. | ||||||
