Boat too Crowded but activity really good

| Well organized, interesting but for absolute beginners I dont think it is really good value for money as you dont get much instruction or guidance as there were 3 people trying to supervise 53 | ||||||

| The trip was a great thing to do with my 21 year old son. We did not see any whales but the crew sure tried, going out farther than usual. We did see a group of Risin dolphins and 2 groups of common dolpins and they were lots of fun. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable and the boat was very comfortable with lots of options. | ||||||

| Dana Wharf's Ocean Adventure Cruise was a fantastic activity for our family. The boat itself (Dana Pride), was in top shape and very clean, while the friendly and knowledgeable staff made our day feel more like a "friends & family outing" than a "paid for hire" boat trip. The Captain and First Mate were quick to bring new sea life to our attention and very thorough in their explanation of what we were seeing. On our trip, we had opportunity to travel with two very large pods of dolphins and saw many up close. The large size of the "Dana Pride" and its tri-level design provided us with plenty of varied viewing options. Additionally, it kept our toddler from becoming bored on the two-hour trip. My four-year-old son was amazed and intrigued and told me the outing was "the best thing ever!" Although we did not sight any blue whales that day, we have made plans to try again in the coming months. I highly recommend this adventure for anyone considering the trip. | ||||||

| Unfortunately, the fish weren't biting this day. I would take this trip again, but not on a Tuesday. There were 100 anglers, most inexperienced, that caused tangled lines. The full boat was way too crowded. | ||||||

| This was my second time and it was just as wonderful as the first time! Dan was there again and he took great care of us. The rest of the guys were always around and were very helpful. The only sucky part is the newbies who got tangled up with us constantly......aarrgh! Highly recommend the 6:30 am boat as opposed to later in the day! | ||||||

| I had wonderful time. First time whale watching and we were able to see 3 blue whales. I was told by the crew that it was rare to see more than 1. the crew was great, fun and enthusiastic. Will take the kids again in the future! | ||||||

| Cruising up Dana Point and Laguna Beach to track a wonder of nature, a Blue Whale in all its magnificent "gentle" glory, was just spectacular. A few dolphins raced along side of the catamaran as the captain brought us about as close as you can get to the biggest creature in the history of the world... | ||||||

| The Grandkids did not want to go but ended up loveing it. The operators searched and searched for a Blue Whale but could not find one. However the did not give up until we found a pod of dolphins. | ||||||

| I always like fishing with the crew from Dana Sports Fishing! They do an excellent job and are the best in the area.....I could easily go north and use a different charter company but the crew on the Dana Wharf boats are much more helpful.....so I make a longer drive to fish with them. The only drawback on this recent trip is a packed boat....don't like it when it is full and only have two crew to help. | ||||||

| We saw a huge pod of 500 dolphins, and we saw a very large blue whale. It was really a special day and the captain was very knowlegeable about the sea life we saw. I went with my 84 year old mother and my 16 year old daughter. A great activity for young and old! | ||||||

| As usual the Capt's enthusiasm for showing his guests the great mammals of the ocean paid off - two huge pods of dolphin with young, a small pod of Rizzo dolphin and a memorable encounter with a Blue Whale which thanks to the Capt's hard work we saw on the surface 4 times. The nice thing about this trip is that the Capt. and his crew really care and are knowledgeable about these animals and want their guests to see them - we'll be going again when the greys come by | ||||||

| You can't be sure about the number of fish you will catch but you can be sure that's the only uncertainty. Here's what I expect when I'm taking personal time off with the family: 1. All of the planning, arranging and logistics are easy. 2. No "bait and switch" (no pun intended). 3. Staff are knowledgeable and pleasant. 4. Execution is timely and efficient. When that happens – if you don’t have a good time it’s your own fault! We had a great time. | ||||||
