| This is the 3rd or 4th time I have taken one of these cruises. ALWAYS a good time, knowledgeable captains and crew, clean boats and good times!! We saw dolphins, and the captain made sure we got to see blue whales--in fact kept us out a little long just to follow them. Can't wait to do it again!! | ||||||

| We went on an afternoon half day boat. The day started off rocky as there was inadequate parking for their customers. The boat was about 15 minutes late. The Captain didn’t spend too much time finding a good fishing spot, but the fish were almost all undersized. There was a young man about 12 on the boat that was obviously a relative of the Captain or a crew member. He was allowed to fish however and wherever he wanted and tangled several other anglers. And when he did get tangled, he would cut the other person’s line. The crew members said nothing to him, but then they were too busy fishing themselves. The Captain never required a rotation of rail positions so you were stuck in the same spot the whole trip. I may go back to Dana Wharf, but it will not be on the half day boat. | ||||||

| The boat was simple and stable, good job of finding and following dolphin pods, had a difficult time understanding the comments of the captain over the speaker. Will go again in whale season. | ||||||

| You can rent gear that is fine to use with live bait, BUT virtually all the fish (and there were MANY fish) caught were caught with lures and cast out away from the boat. Get a cheeseburger from the galley, very good but messy so towel up. Take: a knife, needle nose pliers, and rags. | ||||||

| My wife and I had a wonderful time on the boat. The crew went out of their way to be helpful, informative, and they didn't give up until we got to see marine life! I have been on other whale watching trips, but this was by far my favorite! | ||||||

| Even though the fishing was poor, the captain and his crew were very nice and extremely helpful. The crew was on deck at all times to lend assistance to all the fishermen (i.e. remove catch fr lines, getting birds unhooked). The captain was well informed and kept giving instructions on the best methods to catch a fish. The weather and ocean view of the coast line was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this company & crew to others. | ||||||

| We (along with the crew) started the evening not sure of what we would find. Quickly we found a large group of Bottlenose Dolphins. Quickly behind them we found some Risso's Dolphins. Another even bigger group of Bottlenose Dolphins played and even jumped in unison in front of the bow! Then, the best - a Blue Whale! We got to watch it come up and dive several times. The crew was even amazed - the first of the year! Then we briefly saw a smaller whale - the Minke? It was such an incredibly beautiful evening - coming back in with the sunset and having seen the beauty we had...would do it again in a heartbeat! | ||||||

| This was my mom's Mother's Day gift. We enjoyed ourselves on the excursion even though we didn't get to see any whales. We did see California sea lions and dolphins, which was great. Luckily there weren't that many people on the boat, so it was nice to be able to move around whenever and wherever we wanted. We are planning on coming back during a different whale season and hopefully we will have better luck then. The staff was helpful when needed. | ||||||

| I took my elderly Aunt on the two hour whate watching trip and had a great time. I went aboard thinking I would probably see one dolphin being it was at the end of whale season, but immediately we spotted some seals. An hour into our journey we got notice there was a pod of dolphins up ahead and we headed right towards them. Soon we spotted the dolphins and the sight was amazing because this was a whole heard of dolphins and we were right in the middle of them. The dolphins were all around us as far as the eye could see in every direction. Though we never saw a whale the trip was worth every penny and I would highly reccommend the adventure. The captian and staff on the vessel were very informative telling us all about these dolphins. It was clear they were just as amazed as the passengers saying they have never encountered so many dolphins in all the years they have been doin this trip. It was estimated there were at least 7 thousand dolphins. I took video and am going to put it on youtube. search Dana Point Dolphins on youtube and you can view the footage. | ||||||

| Even though we took our trip in late April and no whales were to be found, we enjoyed our 2 hour trip. The 2 man crew was friendly and pointed out a pod of dolphin and brought our boat to the middle of them so we could enjoy their antics close at hand. It was breathtaking to observe the dolphin in their natural environment, enjoying themselves. We ventured out a little further along the coast to try and spot any whales, but no luck. On the way back to shore we passed harbor seals sunning themselves on a bobbing buoy. Very affordable good time for anyone that might only have a short time in the area. | ||||||

| Done this cruise many times and have always had a great time. This time the boat was small with no upper seating this ment we had to sit down below (which we did not want to do) or stand for 2 hours. Although we are in our 80's we are very active but standing in a moving boat for 2hrs is not pleasurable. We will think twice before doing it again | ||||||

| Not too many fish because of the cold water temp at the time, but a great single perch to take home and eat. We really enjoyed the galley service and look forward to our next time out. | ||||||

| We went on a whale watching boat. We saw sea lions. No whales. We left on time and returned on time. Food and drinks may be purchased on the boat. Bring small money. We did not see any whales. We were given a free ticket for the whale watching boat to be used at a later time. | ||||||
