| This was a fun tour even though we didn't see any whales. We did see a few different species of dolphin as well as sea lions! | ||||||

| We enjoyed this cruise very much. We did not see any whales but saw hundreds of playful dolphins. The crew spent time making sure that everyone was able to enjoy the dolphins swimming around the boat. | ||||||

| Went on the 1/2 day fishing trip with my family. Bought 5 tickets for us. Me and my wife just helped the kids for the most part. Our kids couldn't even fish without getting pushed out of the way by other fisherman. Way overbooked. I expected it to be crowded considering it was half price tuesday, but it was a little ridiculous. Fishing was pretty good and nice fishing crew, but too many people. | ||||||

| We had an excellent time on the water. The captain and the whole crew were friendly and helpful to everybody. Our 1/2 day fishing experience included catching sculpin, rock fish, macerrel, a variety of bass, one guy caught an eel, I myself caught a crab. So all-n-all our friends and family would highly recommend this activity to anyone who wants to have a great time for a good price!!! | ||||||

We did not see whales but enjoyed the dolphins.

| 3rd time fishing w/ dana wharf. 3rd time no fish caught.i normally catch fish on others (newport landing) i guess you get what you pay for.thanks for sitting in spots w/ no fish. thank you, very disappointed fisherman. .my children were unable to use that experienced reel. you really expect a first timmer to use it. ya right.thanks for a great 5 hour cruise.never again.paul alcantar | ||||||

| It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the boat ride. The staff was great, attentive. We thought the cost of the activity was reasonable but were dissapointed that we didn't see any whales or dolphins. So it was basically just a ride out on the ocean. We did get rain check or "whale" check tickets to use at another time but that's hard when you have guests visiting from out of town. We will try using the tickets next year and maybe try to go out in March instead of April. | ||||||

| we had a great time. we didn't see any whales, but we saw an amazing school of dolphins jumping...hundreds all around us. even if we hadn't seen the dolphins i would still have given a positive response. the crew was friendly..the food was good...better than i would expect on a short boat trip. i will highly recommend you guys to friends and family. thanks, john mcgovern | ||||||

| Dana Wharf Sportfishing has great boats, great crews and they take you where the fish are!!! Highly recommend these guys..I go there everytime I want to fish!!! | ||||||

| My son was celebrating his 12th b-day and as a tradition he chooses what he would like to do on his b-day with me (dad). He always chooses fishing. The weather was wonderful, but the fish weren't biting but the crew and captain were excellent and my son and I had a great time. It's all about building memories and our experience with Dana Sportfishing has always given us good ones even when the fish don't bite. | ||||||

| We really had a great time! The ocean was calm and the sky was blue. Since we only got to see just a few dolphins, seal and otters (and unfortunately no whales), the crew extended their 'whale check' so all of us received a return trip..... we would be back regardless. The crew was great (and provided a lot of interesting fish facts to the guests) .... the boat was pristine (even the bathrooms). Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! | ||||||

| I've lived in California all my life until 1993 then moved to Oklahoma. Took some friends and 2 teenage kids and all of us enjoyed this very much. We saw female Humpback whale with Calf. Plus we saw Sea Lions. Was a great adventure and next time we return to California, we will sure go again. Also have told friends and relatives about your tours. Thank you for the wonderful time. | First time ever going whale watching and we had a lot of fun. We didn't see any whales or dolphins but we seen a group of sea lions. Due to the fact that we didn't see any whales or dolphins we were given tickets to return for another visit and they don't expire. It was a great deal. We had so much fun we can't wait to go back! | ||||||

| We took our three children, ages 14, 12, and 10 on the 1/2 day fishing trip. We went on 1/2 day Tuesday to save a little money ($19.95 each), also had to pay about $13 each for rod & reel, and anyone over 16 needs a fishing license for about $14. The weather was chilly, so glad that we wore long pants and had sweatshirts on. The boat was a little rough, and our youngest got sick. Should have taken dramamine. The crew was very friendly and helpful and gave us simple lessons, helped us bait our hooks in the beginning, and took our fish off the hook. For those who wanted to take their fish home, the crew also filleted the fish. It seemed as though most people caught at least one fish. There was quite a variety - one man even caught a small octopus. Our family caught a total of 7 fish, but threw them all back. They had food available in the galley - breakfast burritos in the a.m., and burgers at lunchtime. I thought it was reasonably priced. We all had a burger, and they were great! You can also bring your own food on the boat, but no alcohol. They do sell beer on the boat. We all had a fun time, and were happy that we caught some fish. glad that we only did the half day trip, as it was even a little long for the kids. | ||||||

| Trustworthy business offering great value for the money. We did not see Whales, but the migration was pretty much finished by the time we took the trip. It was not the fault of the tour. Otherwise, the trip was fantastic, and they did a good job getting us the pass which converts to tickets at the Dana Point activity (whale watching). Have fun! | ||||||
