Great trip saw lots of dophins

| My friends and myself really enjoyed the whale watching trip. We didn't exactly see any whales but we saw a whole swarm of dophins and other sea life. I'm hoping in the future we could possibly ride the dophins are take turns driving the boat. I was also thinking that maybe you guys can invest in an underwater submarine so we can actually go down below, just some ideas to help improve the experience. We were able to get lots of pictures and were able to share them with friends and family. | ||||||

| It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the boat ride. The staff was great, attentive. We thought the cost of the activity was reasonable but were dissapointed that we didn't see any whales or dolphins. So it was basically just a ride out on the ocean. We did get rain check or "whale" check tickets to use at another time but that's hard when you have guests visiting from out of town. We will try using the tickets next year and maybe try to go out in March instead of April. | ||||||

| My son was celebrating his 12th b-day and as a tradition he chooses what he would like to do on his b-day with me (dad). He always chooses fishing. The weather was wonderful, but the fish weren't biting but the crew and captain were excellent and my son and I had a great time. It's all about building memories and our experience with Dana Sportfishing has always given us good ones even when the fish don't bite. | ||||||

| We really had a great time! The ocean was calm and the sky was blue. Since we only got to see just a few dolphins, seal and otters (and unfortunately no whales), the crew extended their 'whale check' so all of us received a return trip..... we would be back regardless. The crew was great (and provided a lot of interesting fish facts to the guests) .... the boat was pristine (even the bathrooms). Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! | ||||||

| We took our three children, ages 14, 12, and 10 on the 1/2 day fishing trip. We went on 1/2 day Tuesday to save a little money ($19.95 each), also had to pay about $13 each for rod & reel, and anyone over 16 needs a fishing license for about $14. The weather was chilly, so glad that we wore long pants and had sweatshirts on. The boat was a little rough, and our youngest got sick. Should have taken dramamine. The crew was very friendly and helpful and gave us simple lessons, helped us bait our hooks in the beginning, and took our fish off the hook. For those who wanted to take their fish home, the crew also filleted the fish. It seemed as though most people caught at least one fish. There was quite a variety - one man even caught a small octopus. Our family caught a total of 7 fish, but threw them all back. They had food available in the galley - breakfast burritos in the a.m., and burgers at lunchtime. I thought it was reasonably priced. We all had a burger, and they were great! You can also bring your own food on the boat, but no alcohol. They do sell beer on the boat. We all had a fun time, and were happy that we caught some fish. glad that we only did the half day trip, as it was even a little long for the kids. | ||||||

| Trustworthy business offering great value for the money. We did not see Whales, but the migration was pretty much finished by the time we took the trip. It was not the fault of the tour. Otherwise, the trip was fantastic, and they did a good job getting us the pass which converts to tickets at the Dana Point activity (whale watching). Have fun! | ||||||

| My family had the most wonderful time on this cruise. The boat is spacious, clean, and beautiful. It has ample seating with large tables to relax both inside and outside. There are three levels to it, making it interesting to move about the boat and experience the cruise from different perspectives. They have a very nice food service on board at reasonable prices in case you didn't bring your own. The three men in the crew are friendly, informative, and delightful. We saw sea lions and a huge pod of dolphins which were thrilling to watch as they swam and jumped all around us. We didn't see any whales but honestly it didn't matter because the whole experience was marvelous with the dolphins and everything else I mentioned. Apparently dolphins are part of the whale family, so technically we got what we paid for. The best money we spent on our California vacation!!!! | ||||||

| The catamaran is an neat boat ride if you have never experienced one. We saw a pod of dolphins,and sea lions. The captian of the boat did an outstand job looking for sea life. He found a "sun fish" the marine biologist was extremely helpful in tell about everything. There was also a marine biologist who had been following the whales from up north down south and was head back up north with them. She was recording the sounds they make. We were fornuate for her to share them with us. | ||||||

| I suggest going on this cruise during the morning hours. We went at 12:00 noon and most of the 2 hours were spent sailing along the sea looking at birds. We did finally spot a grey whale on our way back to shore. It was an awesome sight, as he surfaced several times. We would have liked to see dolphins too, but we didn't. Having gone on a morning cruise in Dana Pt. before, I know the dolphins are more abundant during the morning hours. The nice thing about this cruise line is that if you don't see any dolphins or whales on your cruise, they will issue you a ticket to come again. | ||||||

| We had a great time, and we had a once in life time experience when a grey whale jumped out of the water, IT TRUELY WAS AMAZING, and with the pictures to prove it. | ||||||
