Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching

We spotted a gray whale on the surface just as we were leaving the harbor, then locked on two two grays who were on the surface off the bow for more than an hour. Great views of flukes. When the dolphins came to play, one of the whales surfaced and rolled over. Really a great show.

The crew was very dedicated to find whales and knowledgable. The vessel was in very good repair.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable boat, very knowledgable audio accompanying sightings, beautiful view of the coastline. Did not see whales, but two groups of dolphins and one group of sea lions. Even though it was 75 degrees out, the wind out on the ocean is biting - dress accordingly. Overall, recommended as a fun and unique outing for couples and families alike.

The check in process for me was the biggest time saver. There were no hassles.

It's a nice thing to do with the family. Had lots of bites, and caught two keepers. It is always something to do once in a while. Fishing is fun, and the boat ride is nice too. Five hours is just enough time to catch a fish or two. The nine hour trip sounds like a nice choice for next time. It doesn't matter if you catch anything or not, the view is just astonishing.

We have been out with these guys before. We did the 2 hour whale watch. The captain was knowledgable and personable. The boat was clean. We didn't see any whales but we saw a ton of dolphins and some sea lions. It's a bummer not to see a whale but it's still a really beautiful way to spend a couple hours out at sea. We will keep taking our out of town visitors out and maybe one day we will see a whale!

I go out with a group of 25 to 40 people every few months . on both the Catamaran and regular boat. Every trip is a little different like the moods of the sea. We almost always have lots of dolphins come to play, sometimes small pods and sometimes the ocean bubbles with 1000's of dolphins leaping and playing. The common dolphins always want to hang out with the boat. on the Solstice we saw two whales blow like Old Faithful and surface like islands rising out of the sea. Then we got "tailed". A bunch of porpoises showed up like they came for a play date. The captains are all terrific, keeping you well informed and going the extra mile to make sure you have the best experience possible. It's a great way to spend a few hours on the sea with our ocean dwelling friends and seeing our beautiful coastline.

A very friendly group of guides. Very knowledgeable of all sea life and their habits and patterns. Went way out of the way to find a gray whale and found him and cruised with him for a while. Cruised for quite some time with the dolphin as well. They made you very comfortable and walked around making sure that all questions were answered and nobody was unsatisfied. This was for my daughters birthday and we did an early afternoon cruise, it was perfect and a perfect fun beginning to her day!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! They were too cool and it was way fun!!!

This is my son's yearly Boy Scout fishing trip, we had such a great time. We had 12 boys and 5 adults on this trip. The weather was beautiful and the food is super yummy. The staff members on the boat are very helpful. We will be back again next year.

Although we didn't see any whales, the trip out was great! Smooth seas a few dolphins, some sea lions and lots of blue sky. This is my fourth trip with this company and they are always friendly, the boats are clean and it is a great experience.
