Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching

We lucked out and saw many blue whales, fin whales and three types of dolphin. We had perfect weather. The captain was informative and enthusiastic. He stayed out past our 2 hour time because we were having such a special experience. We were very pleased!

had family in town from the mid-west. it was a really great time and we saw a large number of whales. the captain was excellent at getting to the best viewing spots. the only bummer of the day was the parking ticket i received after parking where your employee told me to park and did not give me a permit. they say they will reimburse me for it and i believe them...

Absolutely AWESOME! Don't change a thing!!! Not only did we see a ton of whales, we saw and road along a huge school of dolphins, which was soo much fun. We highly recommend this trip and will definitely be back to take it again.

It was a typical gorgeous day on the water in Orange County.. having rained just 2 days prior, the weather was picture perfect. We boarded the very lovely (and spotless) catamaran and were greeted with smiles and a helping hand. It was a truly amazing day! We saw at least a dozen blue whales, a great handful of fin whales and too many dolphins to even count. I'm not exaggerating whatsoever! The captain exclaimed that it was one of the best days in a long time. We felt so blessed to be on board with a great crew and friendly passengers. The captain constantly kept us updated about sightings and gave great historical information about the wildlife we were encountering. I had my doubts about going on a local, "touristy" activity, but I'm so happy that I chose to celebrate our anniversary on this vessel. It was a fantastic voyage. Kudos for a marvelous day of sight seeing! I can't wait to see our photos!

We were really eager about the ride on the Ocean Adventures boat and were looking forward to catch a glimpse of at least some dolphins, if not a whale. But it was our luck that a whale decided to surface, not once but 5 times. The whole experience was wonderful and we cherish it forever.

Captain was friendly, knowledgable, and knew right where to take us to get the best view of the whale(s). Had several sitings, one pretty close up. Then seeing all the dolphins was at treat. Smaller group, which gives more opportunity to take pics and interact. Thoroghly recommend this trip.

The skipper relentlessly pursued the squid and bass!!!

We are local but took family from midwest with the hopes of seeing a Blue Whale. The Captain was tremendously informative and, best of all, had the skill and experience to take us to the exact spot where one of those natural wonders of the world surfaced four times. We got some great photos, including one tail shot. To top it off, our trip back to port was accompanied by a large group of dolphins that seemed to enjoy frolicking with the boat. All in all, one of our best experiences in a long time. Will highly recommend it to others.

We saw a whale. We followed it for about 3 dives. We also saw california black and white dolphins as well as the normal dolphin. The captain was very knowledgable and was enjoyable. The only down side was the know it all next to me that would not shut up and let me enjoy the ocean.

from getting tickets online to the service at the boat house everyone was nice and helpfull.Then getting on the boat the captain and deck hands were helpful and patient. we had a great time thanks!

Took my Nephew out to a squid trip both of us had a great time and I loved the fact that they had blue moon beer on the boat.

Squid fishing was a blast. My 8 old son keeps asking me when were going again.The bite was wide open. We must of landed 30 squid.

Surprise $2 fee to clean each squid. Couldn't take home whole. Didn't find out about fee until near end of trip with 16 squid in sack. Great trip otherwise.

Went Squid fishing. The Captain moved around to put us on them. Crew was nice in spite of the boat being crowded. Good Boat.
