We saw 2 whales!!

| We really enjoyed our cruise. We first saw sea lions on a buoy. Then one whale was spotted (by the crew), then a second one! Our captain followed these whales (as best as he could) for the rest of the cruise. It was great to actually see whales on a whale watching cruise. They, apparently, don't always find where the whales are hiding. I wished that I would have had a high-speed camera to capture pictures of the whales when they surfaced! | ||||||

| The boat ride was great. Left the dock promptly, Captain & his mate "Lucky" were very personable, great variety of food and snacks on board (and extremely cost effective). Was smooth ride, able to see all the coastal hills and watch a beautiful sunset. Captain was constantly looking for sealife we could appreciate. Saw sea lions AND about 3 Minke whales. Awesome! | I have been on whale /dolphin watches all over the world. I have NEVER seen so many dolphins. There were hundreds of them frolicking all around the boat. Skilled captain knew just where to go. | ||||||

| This trip was alot of fun, very relaxing. I enjoyed that the boat took a slower pace traveling out to the fishing site, instead of zipping through the waves to get there. Lots of folks were drinking and I thought beer flowed too easily. Also, there were really too many people for one trip, lines kept getting tangled and there was not enough room to spread out a little, very cramped. I would recommend this company, they were helpful, pleasant and over all-very nice trip. | ||||||

| There were too many anglers on board. Lines got tango up all the times. The rental equipements were poorly maintain and didn't work. People just grab others rental rod at the end of the trip made me had to find one rented by another person. There weren't big fish for that trip. It's very disappointing trip. | ||||||

| We showed up 30 minutes early and sat on the wharf after trading our voucher for tickets. Right on time, the crew showed and started loading. We saw many small whales and dolphins and met several interesting people. The cost of refreshments was surprisingly low and the crew was very informative. We got back as the sun was going down and the temperature dropped, but not to where I needed my jacket. The whale excursion made for a great start to a fantastic vacation. | ||||||

| The weather resulted in choppy waves so if you happen to get splashed upon and then have to deal with the wind, it can be cold, wet, and miserable roller coaster of a ride as we witnessed others suffering during the outing. Everything else worked out great. No whales this trip, but plenty of other marine life was viewed out in the wild. The evening outing allowed for a beautiful sunset view on the return. Will do it again during the gray whale season. | ||||||

| My wife and I went on this little excursion. I fished and she watched. This was my first time out fishing on the ocean. The crew were very respectful and helpful. The fishing was fabulous--of nearly 50 people, everyone caught plenty of fish--although success had supposedly been spotty over the previous weeks. There were several youth on board and they appeared to have a good time. There were no younger children on this trip, but I wouldn't mind brining my younger children along to watch as long as they stayed on the upper deck away from the occasional chaos. We had a wonderful time and the crew of the Dana Pride are great. | ||||||

| We saw hundreds of dolphins. Man its hard to get pictures of them. They had a marine biologists on board to explain what we were seeing. A nice memorable trip. Dress warm. Its a lot colder once you get out. Really a nice group of folks. | ||||||
