My 7 year old granddaughter said it was best week of her life (then she added - "in November') We saw thousands of dolphins. Very exciting - no whales but no complaints!

We were very fortunate to see two blue whales almost immediately after clearing the jetties. The captain tagged along with them for over an hour, allowing for many sitings. On the way back to the harbor, we came across some Risso's dolphins...a first for me. The crew did a wonderful job making sure everyone knew where to look and when as well as provide lots of interesting facts on what we were seeing. My grandchildren and I had a wonderful time.

Smooth Sailing

The ride was great. The fog was not their fault. Would recomend the Catamaran to anyone. The crew was very helpfull. I learned a lot about local sea life. I live in San Clemente and now ask my self why it took so long to discover how smooth a ride the Catamaran provides. No whales on this trip but plenty of other life forms. On deck and in the ocean.

Smooth ride, plus lots of animals!

We were warned that at season end, there might not be whales; and, although we did not see blue whales, we found 2 small minkies which was fantastic. Also there were many herds of dolphins who swam up close/under our boat and demonstrated their perfect synchronized leaping, including mothers and babies. I had been out of Dana Point 2 other times on regular vessels (ie Dana Pride), but this catamaran trip is superior with less people and a smoother ride. You can talk with the crew, see more and it's worth the extra $10 per ticket.

I'd recommend this trip.

We left right on schedule. Guides were courteous, knowledgable, and friendly. Sealife was explained very well. I'd recommend this trip and hope to go again.

Everything was very satisfactory and I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in sport fishing to take out one of your boats. I think I would prefer daytime fishing however and will next book one earlier in the day,

Wonderful Trip - well worth the cost

We are local but took family from midwest with the hopes of seeing a Blue Whale. The Captain was tremendously informative and, best of all, had the skill and experience to take us to the exact spot where one of those natural wonders of the world surfaced four times. We got some great photos, including one tail shot. To top it off, our trip back to port was accompanied by a large group of dolphins that seemed to enjoy frolicking with the boat. All in all, one of our best experiences in a long time. Will highly recommend it to others.

FISH CLEANING FEE

Surprise $2 fee to clean each squid. Couldn't take home whole. Didn't find out about fee until near end of trip with 16 squid in sack. Great trip otherwise.

Wonderful experience with great whale sightings.

Our grandchildren (age 10 and 12) enjoyed seeing the dolphins swimming along the boat and leaping out of the water, and we were all thrilled with the sightings of three blue whales. The captain did a great job of maneuvering the boat to maximize our view of the whales as they displayed their tails just prior to their deep dives. The boat was not crowded and we had plenty of room to move about from one end/side of the boat to the other. The trip was definitely well worth the money and we will go again when in the area!

This was by far the best trip of whale watching I had been on. We spotted three whales that gave us a great show and the boat Captain & Crew were outstanding in spooting and information.

Whale of a Time!

The Dana Pride crew was great -- we went at 5pm for a sunset cruise. Captain stayed with the blue whale we saw for about a half hour, and then we went to "play with the dolphins". Very enjoyable.

A great deal for having a great time.

This is the second time I took this trip in about the last 4 weeks or so. The blue whale watching discounted tour is batting two-for-two for me now. Lots of dolphins and blue whales seen again. And for a retired guy like me who really just likes to be out on the ocean on a nice boat, the whales and dolphins are a bonus. Plus the 2-hour duration for this trip allows you to get free parking in the public parking lot, which has a 4-hour time limit (but don't say it too loud lest the town council get some big ideas about raising revenues).

I went with my son who was visiting from England & we had THE best time ! The boat was immaculate, the crew were so friendly & informative. We saw so many dolphin & them were thrilled to see 2 huge blue whales which we followed just yards from the boat. The crew member on the speaker had so much information & interesting facts about the whales. It was one of the best trips I've ever done & I would, and will, recommend to anyone. Can't wait to take my grandkids!

This was my fourth whale watch outing in a month. It was just as good as the others (with a different company) and the narration was perhaps even better in the way the naturalist explained the 2 pods of dolphins and the blue whale that the captain found for us.
