Amazing whale watching adventure. Blue whales, dolphins and the sea lions were easily viewed and enjoyed by those on board the catamaran. Everyone had a good view and watched the sea life in their natural environment. Thanks so much for a great day! |

Worth the money and time

I was nervous going on the cruise in July when the whales aren't migrating, but we still saw 4 different whales several times and that was plenty to make me happy. We saw dolphins and seals too. Well worth the money, and if you have the time I would recommend going on the longer tour. The two hour tour went by really fast, but was still worth the trip down to Dana Point. |

Although we did not see any whales, we saw dolphins and other marine wildlife. The crew were very courteous and enthusiastic. I would recommend this tour with friends and family. |

This was my first time ever deep-sea fishing, though my husband had gone before. I had a blast! I would have liked the boat to move one more time, since everything that was being caught for the first hour had to be thrown back. Getting up at 3am to make it to the pier was totally worth it. I can't wait to go buy my own reel & rod and do this again! Our deckhand Marcus and the captain (aboard Sum Fun) were awesome and very knowledgeable and helpful. I was finally starting to get the hang of it when we had to sail back in... next time I'm going for a 3/4 day! :) |

I am a local and have seen thousands of dolphins in my lifetime, so I figured that the trip would be fairly disappointing if we didn't see any whales - I was wrong! We saw hundreds of dolphins, and they really put a show on for us. The boat itself was quite nice; clean, large enough to easily accommodate the entire passenger load, and with a decent snack bar. 2-hours was long enough to get well outside the harbor and enjoy the sites. Everyone in my group had a great time, and I would highly recommend this activity! Especially on Tuesdays, when it is half priced :) |

i was kind of upset about my fish i caught and they lost my fish i wanted to take home and they were quite rude about it but oh well maybe ill try it again hopefully ill get treated a little kinder. |

One Great Day on the Water!

Excellent experience.We did not see any whales on this trip. We found a pod of several hundred dolphins and it was fantanstic! We spent a good hour with the dolphins as they do like to play by the boat. We also a rare sun fish near the surface. This was worth everything and was a wonderful day on the water. Boat and crew were wonderful. |

We spent an hour in the center of a pod of 300 or so Common Dolphins and let me tell you there was nothing "Common" about the experience. What a spectacular and refreshing 2 hours! I'm considering doing this at least once a month :) |

A bit disorganized and unprofessional

I will say that the fishing trip was nice. everyone in our group caught fish.
The scheduling of the trip was a bit disorganized. Confirmed a 6:30 am trip then via email (no call) was told the trip was rescheduled to 10 am. No refund if that time didn't work out for us. One person in our group however maintained a 6:30 am departure time. When I called they said that they didn't have a 6:30 am boat but then one came up just not big enough for everyone in the group (3 people total). They rescheduled the last guy from the 6:30 am spot to the 10 am spot with the rest of us. When we arrived they told us that our one friend had been moved from the 6:30 am (saturday) spot to to 10 am spot on the previous Monday and he missed it. Finally got it all cleared up and we were able to go on the trip together. Kind of a headache... CONFIRM you departure day and time... at least twice!!! |
