| I needed an activity for 2 grandsons, ages 11 & 13 and myself; something that didn't entail tramping around in the summer heat. I googled Dana Point not knowing what I might find. The whale watching seemed like a great idea, and so it turned out to be. All 3 of us loved it, and were thrilled at seeing the dolphins, and of course the Blue whale. I'd like to take the trip again, to see if I can improve my camera skills on a fast moving catamaran. A thumbs up on this activity!!! | ||||||

| Very well organised trip, spacious boat with plenty of seating. 10 dolphins were swimming very close to the boat and we saw a blue whale swimming with its calf .We then sighted another very large blue whale and several sealions. The whole family had a great time and there was sufficient space on the boat for everybody to have a good view. | ||||||

| My husband and I along with out two children(6 & 8) took the whale watching trip on Tuesday from 5-7. The boat trip and the scenery was amazing. The first half hour we did not see anything and then we spooted a pod of dolphins jumping and swiming right up to our boat. There must have been at least 20 of them. Then we spotted a blue whale. The captain steered the boat so we could get fairly close to him. He came up 4 times and we saw his tail out of the water twice. It was amazing. The crew member also gave alot of information on whales. Would definitely recommend the toup and on Tuesday they offer a discount. | ||||||

| We had such a great time on our whale watching trip. We went out there expecting to see nothing, so as not to get our hopes up, and we ended up seeing so much! First, a huge pod of dolphins zooming all around the boat. Second a blue whale (wow!!) which we followed for a good half hour. Third, a buoy covered in sea lions. My kids were thrilled and even 3 days later can't stop talking about it. For some constructive criticism, the only thing I wished was different is when the Blue Whale was directly in front of the boat, the only people that could really see it were the 5 or so people standing in the very front. There was no way to see around them or over them. I wish the captain had angled the boat just a little bit so that everyone along the sides could have seen too. I mean we did still see the whale, but we really had to strain and stand on tippy toes to see over people...and it was really tough for my kids to see. Anyway, that was a minor complaint. It was a wonderful trip. The weather was perfect, the marine life was phenomenal, and the sunset was a gorgeous finale. I definitely plan to do this a bunch more times with my family. You can't beat $15 a person on Tuesday! | ||||||

| Wow! What a great Whale Watching adventure and such a great price!!!! The boat was very spacious ad comfortable with lots of viewing room. The captain was great and took us to see Blue Whales (a mother and calf). What an experience! We also stopped to watch dolphins and seals along the way. I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon. | ||||||

| Boat was packed yet the crew managed to fish right along side with the paying customers!!! NOT GOOD!!! PEOPLE ARE RUDE, one lady even got hit on the head by another person on board. I'd seriously re-think booking this one! Honestly I'd like to say something good...even the fishing wasn't that great. Not too many ppl caught anything legal size...maybe just a hand full of ppl...oh wait that was the crewmen. My bad. | ||||||

| hotter than heck but the fish were biting. Everysingle fish I caught had to be thrown back because they were 11 inches. Ilove being on the boat out on the ocean even though I did not bring home anything this time. Everyone is helpful. | ||||||

| WE didn't seen any whales but still had a good time. We really enjoyed all the dolphins. We took lots of pictures and many of the dolphins turned out great. Would certainly recommend this trip to friends. Having the half price certalnly helped with out large group. Thank you so much. Also my son in law took his son (11) on the sportfishing cruise. They both had a wonderful time. Our grand son had a 3 foot barracuda up to the boat and the staff helping him trying to hook the barracuda, broke the line instead. Another story of the one who got away! | ||||||

| I usually go out on a friends private boat and was a bit nervous about a chartered fishing trip. The crew put me at ease pretty much before we left the harbor. We had a great time and caught plenty of fish to make the day a huge success. The burgers on board we just short of amazing. We had a great time and I can't wait to go out again. Next time the 3/4 day trip. | ||||||

| Even though I ended up catching the "jackpot" fish and mind you, it was the last fish caught as the skipper was hoisting the anchor, the fishing should have been alot better. We were the last boat out the docks (7:00am) and lost valuable time fishing. We wasted too much time fishing in spots that had no fish. The bait was bigger than the fish we were catching. The skipper should have taken us to the "Kelp Patties" where there are always fish instead of wandering around. Even little fish that can be caught and thrown back will be a thrill for the kids on board this boat. SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE DAYS THAT "A BAD DAY OF FISHING IS BETTER THAN A GOOD DAY AT THE OFFICE". IT IS CALLED FISHING BUT WASTINGN TIME IS NOT MY IDEA OF A GOOD DAY FISHING. | ||||||

| We saw lots of dolphins for the first hour, which was okay, but we were there to look for whales. After 1 hour had passed, the captain went in whale searching mode and found a big blue what that was quite far away. He pulled up to where he thought it might surface, and it came up really close to the boat. We followed the whale for 30 minutes and got lots of good views of blows and his tale. I have seen other whales before, but the blue whale is something special. | ||||||

| We had a good time during this short cruise. I didn't expect to see any whales as it's not the high season for whale watching. We were able to follow two blue whales and enjoyed the captain's exclamations of 'thar she blows!'. we also so 10+ dolphins and were delighted when they would ride up along side the boat. Overall a good trip. | ||||||
