This was the best whale watching trip I've been on. We did one last year with this company and enjoyed it so I rebooked with them this year. It was really a great trip. We saw whales and then bottle nosed dolphins. The captain sped up the boat so they would follow and jump in the wake, it was really a good time. They are great!

Glimpse of an Amazing Journey

Very pleasant 2-hour trip from Dana Wharf with great Captains who are Marine Biologists, qualified to talk about the sea life for which we search. On a beautiful day, we looked to the horizon and were not disappointed. A pair of whales kept us thrilled with their spouting and a few flukes, but mostly just playing side by side through the swells. Near the end of our time we encountered a large pod of Bottle-nosed Dolphin. They love to play in the wake of the boat, swimming right along side us ~ not unlike some kids when you get out the camera. :-) When our Captain cranked up the engine to return to port, the dolphin did not miss the opportunity to show off and enjoy the large wake. They rode those waves and leaped out of the water ~ high into the air ~ much to the thrill of the passengers. This was a repeat trip for me and two of my three guests. Without a doubt, we'll do it again!

Captain Todd made it excellent!

Last month we were on a 2 hour whale watching cruise, and Captain Todd told us about this one, the first time they were going to offer an 8 hour one. We signed up immediately because he is so knowledgeable & enthusiastic! And we were NOT disappointed. And he found us WHALES.....Mating whales, no less. A very rare occurrence I am told. And I especially love the dolphins, and there were many, many. This 8 hour cruise is not for everyone, and the people on board (just 42 which is a nice number) were real whale lovers, plus research people, and there were more cameras then you would find at a red carpet event in Hollywood. What a great group of people to share the day with. The lunch was better then I expected, very good, THANKS! The only reason I would not go on this cruise again very soon is because I live 6 hours away, and I really don't know how it could top this first amazing experience. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We had a wonderful time. The staff was both knowledgeable and accommodating. The boat was well maintained and comfortable. We followed a grey whale and were able to get some amazing photos. We will definitely do this again.

Meet a whale

It was a great experience to see the whale. It was little far from the boat and I could not see them in big. But there is a rule to be in distance, so it is understandable. It is a disappointment that I did not see even one dolphin this time. I should come back again.

We had such an amazing day. The weather was perfect, we spotted a grey whale with a two day old calf, a pod of dolphin played with the wake of the ship and the crew was informed and nice. I love taking the catamaran. Just wish they did this with small sail boats! It was the perfect day at sea

Saw only a small part of a gray whale. However saw several playful, jumping dolphins. The Captain worked very hard at searching for sea creatures. His narration was excellent.

BEST NEW YEAR'S EVER!
Thu, Jan 2  10:00 AM IamConnieZ Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Two of us went on Jan 2nd at 10am. The fog had gone out to sea and it was cold but sunny. The captain was in touch with other boats so we headed to where a whale was reported. She was pretty far out but we could see the water sprout from her blowhole. That was exciting, but then we saw two on the land side of the boat spouting water. One had to catch up with the one further away, but then they were swimming in tandom and decided to go deep for food. THAT'S WHEN THE TAILS COME UP! It was spectacular to see both of them swimming and diving together. The captain gave us a history lesson and explained what the whales werie doing, where they were going & why, and when they would return. He was very good! My friend had gone out several times but only seen the spouts. Boy was she excited to see the tails! I came to CA for the Rose Bowl Parade & then we decided to go whale watching on the next day. I'm so glad we did! I will always remember the whales much more than the parade. A wonderful way to begin the new year.

We were able to see a gray whale for an extended period of time as he traveled south. Then we were able to experience a large pod of dolphins swimming close to the boat . It was such a special experience.

The boat was the perfect size, not to crowded. The captain was so knowledgable, we learned so much! We saw hundreds of dolphins, the 2nd largest whale in the world and sea lions! We had such an amazing tour!!

Crossed Off My Bucket List
Whale and Dolphin Watching Adventure Tour

It was a nice November afternoon in Laguna Niguel. We were celebrating my bestfriend's birthday so as a group we went whale/dolphin watching. We got there early since its recommended to do so since the boat leaves promptly when it arrives to board the passengers. We board around 3pm and came back to the harbor a little after 5pm. The experience was wonderful. The scenery and the environment is beautiful. You're on out in the dark blue ocean, with seagulls flying beside the boat, as well as other boats scouting the surface waters as well. Then the moment that you wait for comes....dolphins galore!!! Such a neat sight to see as these are such graceful creatures that glimmer in the sunlight as their bodies are coated with ocean water. We unfortunately did not spot any whales during our adventure. If we had gone weeks earlier I'm sure we would have. There is a season for everything. I definitely recommend going especially if you've never done it before. If you want it romantic, bring a date. If you want to have a little more fun and involvement with more people, bring a group of friends. No matter what, make sure you bring a warm coat and a camera. You don't want to miss out. P.S. There is an area downstairs of the boat that serves alcohol and snacks as well as hot chocolate and popcorn. That was indeed the icing on the cake.
