It was a hot day with little fish bites. But that's fishing, no guarantee you're going to catch anything. A bit crowded but I'll go again.

Tour was full 2.5 hours, plus, as we saw two blue whales, and several dolphins, the crew went out of their way to treat us to a good show. Thanks.

Our group was most of the male side of a wedding party and some relatives (all male), 2 were young boys who had never been fishing before. Overall it was a fun trip. I only got a couple bites, and my sons never got a nibble, so they got bored and tired early. I happened to be stationed at the bow, and it seems all the good activity was off the very crowded stern. I believe the captain was doing a good job finding fish, as there were some keepers brought on board, but all from the rear. The boat was crowded (60) people so not everyone could get to the stern. We had a lot of tangled lines due to the crowding. Most of the fish I saw were too small to keep, but there were a lot of them. I kind of expected fishing is fishing, you throw a line in and never get a bite while a person right next to you seems to get all the fish. I guess the law of averages says, the more times you throw the line in the water, the better the chance at catching the big one. The crew was knowledgeable and helpful and it made for a pleasant trip. They have a galley so food and drinks are not an issue. I would do this trip again, maybe have better luck next time.

I found it odd that when reading the daily catchs on line that it shows a great deal of fish being caught, but then on the boat few fish were caught and the captain made a statement that it has really been slow lately! Another statement from the captain made while sitting at the dock was "we are running late this morning" everyone on the boat paid for 5 hours of fishing and we were all cut short. We left late and arrived back on time. To make things worse not very many fish were caught and condition were good.

We were very lucky, the weather was perfect and we saw lots of dolphins and several blue whales. The guide and crew were courteous and were able to put us at the right spot, at the right time for optimal viewing of the whales when they surfaced. The whole experience was wonderful and we highly recommend it.

I took my son and 2 other kids from our youth group at church. we had a ball. The kids learned alot. the captain was very informative. and made sure that we were able to get great picks of the Whales and dolphins. The boat wasn't to crowded so there was plenty of places to view everything. Great and memorible trip.

The entire operation ran very smoothly and the staff was very fun and professional. The boat was clean and we were taken to many different fishing areas. We also rotated our fishing positions on the boat as to have as many different views and possibilities. My only negative comment was the boat was at full capacity which I found to be a bit crowded and line tangling was inevitable. Otherwise a perfectly fun time!

My son-in-law and I had a great time on our 5 hour trip. The staff were great and Chris (the Captain) runs a good ship. Everything was clean, the burgers freshly prepared on board were excellent. Caught plenty of fish, although the big one got away (don't they always??) Excellent value for money. We will do this at least one's per month.

We took off on time but were out there nearly 2 hours before we finally saw 1 small humpback whale. It was exciting to see it but it was not what I expected. I rated the activity as Neutral because I don't know enough about whales to have expected something better at this time of the year. Maybe earlier in the year the whales are out more but one whale at the very end of the trip was a bit disappointing. The crew of 2 were not the friendliest either. We asked one (pink mohawk) if it was time and he kind of snapped at us. We're from Las Vegas. Whales are not something we see everyday. They need to take into consideration that although they see these beautiful animals everyday, there are people who have never seen one "Up Close and Personal" as your ad says. Our original plan was to go to Santa Barbara but with the fires we thought it best not to go into that area. I probably would not recommend this trip to my friends. Also when we came into the office to pickup our tickets we weren't greeted in a friendly manner. We felt as if we were more of a bother than customers.

We saw lots of dolphins but no whales. It is my understanding that you may be stretching the time that whales are in the area and the likelihood of seeimg them this time of year is very low. To my knowledge no one on your tours saw them that day. Perhaps you should reconsider your policy to avoid negative feeback to potential customers.

It took a while for the boat to get out to where we could see whales. The kids that i had with me age 3 and two aged 8 had gotten really bored with waiting as we didnt see any whales until the tour was almost over. Be sure to bring snacks and water, if not they are sold inside the cabin on the boat. which by the way you cannot see whales through because people crowd in front of the windows on the deck when a whale is seen. Bring a sweater and a jacket. There is a big temperature difference the farther you go out into the ocean especially if there is a breeze. I recommend this trip if you have the patience and older children.

it was a beautiful day on the ocean. the crew was nice and tried to find a whale for us to see. but, no luck. we got whale checks just the same and will try again next year. i enjoy whale watching but was sorry we had no luck. though, like i said, it was a nice day at sea with my friend.

The day was cloudy and cold until we got out on the water, then the sun broke through and it was beautiful. We watched a pod of 3 whales for about 30 minutes or more, then caught some sea lions napping on a buoy. My granddaugher -age 14- absorbed a lot of information from the naturalist and really enjoyed our outing. We will definitely do this again.
