Great boat and crew--not overcrowded. Saw three blue whales and more dolphins than we could count. Very informative captain and crew. Highly recommend this trip.

We are from Indiana on a business / vacation and saw the add in the hotel fliers. The catamaran was very clean and manned by a very friendly and knowledgeable crew. The most rememberable part of the adventure was the sight of the Blue Whale. If we are ever able to get back to California we will diffenatly make anouther booking. Thank you very much in helping book the adventure.

I LOVED my whale watch adventure! The captain and staff were very knowledgeable and friendly! I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants to explore our Southern California coast wildlife, that they sign up for a cruise at Dana Wharf!

Been using Dana Wharf for 20 years, always consistently good in finding the fish. The crews are extremely helpful. Reccommend this to any traveler or local person(s) intersted in a great deep sea fishing trip.

If you enjoy a short exhilerating boatride then this is for you. Dolphins are almost guaranteed which is fantastic anyway and to see whales would be the icing on the cake.

We did not see any whales but we saw a lot of dolphins, they were playing right next to the boat. Boat was clean and the staff was professional.

We had a brisk boat ride out as the captain wanted to catch up to the two whales seen earlier headed up the coast. Ocean swells of about 6 feet and 20 mph made for a fun ride for all as we bounced over the waves at the bow of the boat. What a thrill to see those two enormously beatiful creatures gliding accross the surface. Four or five breaths and a deep dive of approximately nine minutes each. We stayed with the whales for about five cycles. The footprint left on the surface demonstated the power these mamals possess. Rizo dolphins rarely allow boats to approach but they did not seem to mind us as we were able to stay with the pod on the surface during the nine minute intervals. So our trip was not dull waiting for the whales to surface and put on their short but spectacular show. We loved it.

We enjoyed the Noon Whale Watching tour on the catamaran. The boat was clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The captain worked diligently to find whales. We had several great whale sightings that were quite impressive. We also really enjoyed the dolphin pod that we encountered. It was helpful that we did not have a full cruise. It would have been pretty crowded with a full boat. The view from the front of the boat was great and we all enjoyed ourselves. Our trip was pretty choppy, so if you have any problems with motion sickness, you need to prepare for that. The parking lot has a four hour maximum and they do have attendants patrolling the lot, so plan your trip so you fit into that time frame. The company doesn't provide permits for the two hour tours. We almost ran out of time because we had brunch before the tour.

I like the fact that there are experienced fishermen on board to help people out. Ducks kept getting my bait and the deck hands came to untangle them. They also helped out if someone's line got caught or tangled with someone else's line.They even fillet your fish for you for $1!

The overall trip was good. The Hands where helpful. Trip was smooth and eventful. Come time to leave I ask the deck hand where are the numbers on the sacks. He said I took them off. I asked him how am I suppose to find these 3 bags. Number 10,20 and,39. He replied oh I know where they are. So I said can you get them for me, and he said sure. Then he says I can't find them how many fish are you missing? To which I replied 3. He said someone must have taken them. No kidding I replied. I have been on trips in Oceanside, San Diego and other places too. And they all make sure this doesn't happen. So good trip poor deck hand. I will probably stick to what I am use to in the future. It's ok for catch and release but that wasn't want I was looking for in this trip. Also the other two guys that I was picking up the fish for were not to happy either. I still tipped him 5 dollars.

The guide and crew of the catamaran were great and within about 20 minutes of the trip two Blue whales were spotted along with hundreds of Common dolphins. Our guide was very knowledgable giving us information about the blue whales and the Common dolphins. This was truly a wonderful experience and I would reccomend this two hour trip to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

We had a fabulous time on this trip! We were fortunate enough to enjoy watching a pod of about 20 dolphins (including young ones) as they swam both sides of the catamaran as well as underneath us! We then discovered two blue whales and loved going between the two as each of them surfaced. It was a magical day and would highly recommend this amazing experience.
