Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching

We enjoyed the twilight fishing with the gang at the Dana Warf Sport Fishing! We had a great time. The crew did a great job of helping us out with the "fish on" and addressing the needs with our tackle. We will be back!

Never thought we'd see a whale, let alone 2 blue whales! Multiple sightings and the iconic tail fin, also loads of dolphins. Didn't bother doing Seaworld after this, much better to see the animals in their natural environment. Had a brilliant time, would and have recommended it to others.

Saw dolphin, sea otter, and 2 whale (over and over again) GREAT

The best praise that I can give is that they give you your money's worth on their tours - packing as much sea life as possible for the day in the 2 hrs. Would definitely go back next time I'm in SoCal

Everything about the experience was excellent...from the crew to the cleanliness of the boat. The crew's ability to find Blue Whales and Dolphins was outstanding and the Captain's narrative along the way was especially valuable and not overdone.

The trip was nice (although you can never guarantee catching a big fish), but the only thing I would comment is that some of the crew members (and a few guests) smoked while on board. While I assume this is "legal", it is certainly something that can make the trip unpleasant -- especially for those that may be still finding their sea-legs. Gag.

The staff was nice and very hospitable. We had some nice views of 2 blue whales. Trip is perfect length. Not too long, not too short.

The whales were closer than I expected. The dolphins were so close to the boat that we could see their energy and playfulness. My nephew had taken the trip a month earlier and described the dolphins activity but until you see it it is hard to believe. The weather was perfect (sun, a light breeze, rolling waves but no whitecaps). We even learned a little about the whales habits and range.

I really enjoyed the boat ride and getting to see all the Wild Life. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommended this activity!

Very knowledgable Captain- I liked how he warned the small boats to stay away from the whales or he would call the coast guard

Plenty of seating room. Hard rails. Detailed captain. Clean boat with clean restroom facilities. Full bar. Everyone in our group LOVED it. We saw the other whale watching boat at sea... this is boat is W.A.Y. better!

The guide and crew of the catamaran were great and within about 20 minutes of the trip two Blue whales were spotted along with hundreds of Common dolphins. Our guide was very knowledgable giving us information about the blue whales and the Common dolphins. This was truly a wonderful experience and I would reccomend this two hour trip to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
