While the boat ride is OK.....the activity should be called "Dolphin watching" not Wale Watching.....if you happen to see a wale well does great......2 hrs of not much to see other than your occassional dolphin.... |

Good fun with my son. I didn't expect to have so much trouble with the birds staged next to the boat ready to take your bait, along with your hook as soon as you try to put it in the water. The deck hands were good at pulling the birds, mostly pelicans, up and removing the hook. The crew was helpful and the beer cold. |

There wasn't a whale to be found, saw some dolphins. They gave us a 1/2 off next ticket, which was nice of them. |

The crew was very helpful to my 14 year old daughter and I. The fish werent going crazy due to water temps but everyone on the boat caught some so the day wasnt a zero. We will go back later in the season when the water is warmer. |

Everything was as advertised and very easy to get our tickets and board the boat. Even though the fishing was poor, they told us before hand and what was catching the most fish under the current conditions. Following there advice we still caught one fish and had a great time regardless. We plan on definitely going back before the $25 twilight special is over! |

So for 5 hours you can be out on the water, eating a burger and having a good time. maybe even catch some fish for dinner. You can even go to the movies for that kind of price. |

We saw whales

The captain did find whales and stayed on them/it. Unfortunately the whales kept diving and staying under for 10 minutes at a time. We did get fairly close to the whale. Which was difficult for the captain as the whale only took up to 5 breaths before diving down again. |

Fish not biting but a nice morning on the water

The ocean dropped 10-degrees in a week, so the fish weren't biting, but we had a nice day. One crew member, who seemed to be new, was not at all customer oriented. The captain took him aside at the start of the trip, but to no effect... Otherwise a nice time. My 12-year old son can't wait to go again! |

We took the family, 3 adult children and our 6 year-old grandson, on the Whale Watching trip out of Dana Point and all of us were thrilled with the experience. The crew was great and, best of all, we saw 3 whales and lots of dolphins. One of the highlights of our vacation!! |
