WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AND ENJOYED SEEING THE WHALES,DOLPHINS,SEALIONS...HIGHLY RECOMMEND

What a beautiful afternoon. Our captain was very descriptive about what we were going to see and a few moments later there they are 2 amazing blue whales! Everyone in my group had huge smiles on their faces as we kept track of the minutes waiting for the whales to resurface. Great pleasure to watch these amazing animals. We had lots of room to move about the boat and stand at the rail to get the closest look at the whales. We also kept track with a pod of swift moving dolphins and then we ended our trip by looking at the sea lions in the area. Such a memorable experience and a fun way to see a little more detail about California. My 10 and 12 year old and their 70 yr old Nana loved their adventure and we all agreed to do this tour again. Thank you.

Grandchildren (boy 10 & girl 12), son, husband (disabled - used a walker) and myself had a FANTASTIC time. Grandchildren and son visiting from Texas -- the catamaran ride, seeing the whales and the dolphins were great. Would recommend this adventure to all age groups and the handicapped.

Amazing whale watching adventure. Blue whales, dolphins and the sea lions were easily viewed and enjoyed by those on board the catamaran. Everyone had a good view and watched the sea life in their natural environment. Thanks so much for a great day!

We had a great time, our group ranged from 8 years old up to 60 years old. I almost wished it was longer since we were having such a good time. The crew was great, we saw blue whales, dolphins and sea lions. My kids had a blast, my husband had a blast and a bonus he could enjoy a beer on the boat. I would do this again!

This was a very well organized trip where we were looked after by two very knowledgable chaps. It was friendly, good value and the sights were fantastic. We were very lucky we saw dolphins and 4 blue whales at close quarters. On the return to the harbour we took in the basking sea lions. WOW what a day! Liz UK

We saw at least five or six blue whales and many many dolphin, plus lots of other marine life. It was unbelievable and we were very lucky and saw the fluke of a huge blue whale when he dove deep. Would pay three or four times as much and be very satisfied.

We had a blast. Lots of dolphins and sea lions, but no whales. We knew it wasn't whale watching season when we booked so were happy with what we did get to see. Captain was so apologetic that we didn't see a whale, he gave us tickets for a return cruise. We were completely satisfied and would recommend this cruise to anyone visiting the area.

This was the highlight of my family vacation to sothern California! We had a day off from a local theme park and I saw an advertisment for this cruise and convinced my family that we should try it. We had the best time. The crew seemed to know the waters well and were very personable. We were amazed by the hundreds of dolphins we saw and amazed at how close they came to the boat. We also saw several sea lions basking on a buoy near the end of the cruise. The best part was being able to see a pair of blue whales - a mother and her calf. We got close enough to hear them breathing! The crew knew the whales' behavior well enough that they could tell when the whales would come to the surface. One of the crew did say that the combination of beautiful weather, clear water, and the number of animals sighted made this particular trip in the top 5% of the cruises he had been on. We would recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to see the amazing sea life off the coast of California.

I have been on the 1/2 day excursions over a dozen times and have always enjoyed it. weekends can be a bit crowded (hard to move around) recommend during the week. But what ever day you choose you will have a great time. Even if your not lucky enough to catch a fish or two, just being out in the ocean for awhile is worth the trip.

We enjoyed the tour very much. I agree with previous reviews that the staff are not friendly, nor particularly helpful. The boat driver was, however, quite indulgent in sticking with a whale. We were about 9 miles from shore and pressing the time deadline. For those concerned if it is too "scary" or concerned about the water, I say DO IT. I loved it and am not a huge water fan.

Although the excursion was supposed to only be 2 hours, I really appreciate the fact that the staff decided to stay out on the water over and beyond the time allotted to make sure we got a great glimpse of the whale that was spotted. We ended up being out on the water and extra 40+ minutes. My thanks goes out to Dana Whart Whale Watching for doing everything they can to ensure all their guests had a great "whale watching" experience. They truly went the extra mile. Many thanks.

Everything went fine except the catching. Ticket purchase, tackle rental, on-time departure, friendly and helpful staff were all good. Only problem, too few fish. There were fewer than 25 keepers caught by over 40 fishers. To add insult, a girl on the boat next to our pier caught a bass larger than anyone on our boat and her boat never left the dock.
