Staff was helpful and commentary was authoritative and informative. Background material responded to questions and encouraged future inquiry. Suggest supporting video material for long periods of little or no contact with whales i.e. what to look for. Suggest as well that the ordering-printing of tickets be simplified. Something like that used for obtaining boarding passes on flights should do the trick. Not all of us have printers readily available and have to resort to hotel facilities.

All boat personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. Within 45 minutes we spotted three Gray whales and followed them for about another 45. One of the boat staff gave excellent commentary including whale facts. The boat was clean and easy to navigate around.

The tour was amazing!!! The crew was nice and the boat was clean. We were able to see whales that day as wellas dolphins. Would definitely recommend the tour, and we will certainly do it again when we come back!!

If we would have caught fish it would have been a perfect day! The skipper did his very best to get us "hooked up" and we got our "pool money" back. The fish just were not cooperating.

I found this trip online when I was searching for activities to do in orange county, CA. To my surprise it was shown on the orange county's website but was not even advertised on the flyers at the hotel. I was immediately interested to do the whale watching trip and was happy that the trip provider, Danawharf, give a 40% discount! On the trip day, I was glad that the cruise boat was a big (and very clean ) catamaran which provides an outdoor seating and indoor seating area (with a bar!) as well as plenty of walkabouts around the boat as you need to walk around in case the whale shows up around the boat. In addition to that, the trip guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the whale that we were about to watch. To my surprise, the whale showed up several times, and it was an amazing view, considering that this is an open sea and that we are dealing with a wild animal. As a bonus after trailing the whale for an hour the boat took us to dolphin enclaves around the area, which is another amazing experience. All things said, I really like to recommend to do this this activity with danawharf whenever you're in OC between Nov-April as that is the best time to catch a glimpse of migrating whales. Five out of Five.

We loved the trip. Saw four whales. Tour was very informative and we learned a lot from the crew about the local area and the migrating whales. Half price Tuesday just made it that much better!

The trip was a lot of fun! We saw 5 grey whales and also sea lions. The captain kept manuevering the boat so we could get great views of the whales, always telling us ahead of time where to look for the whales to surface. The crew was friendly and informative and made the experience very enjoyable. Thanks for a great trip!

This was a wonderful tour! The crew was knowledgeable and informative about the area marine life. We spotted two grey whales that we followed for a time, a school of dolphin swam with our boat and we got to see sea lions basking on a bouy. We are ready to do it again!

The boat company was organized and did a great job. During the trip the boat guide provided lots of information about the marine life. We saw hundreds of dolphins and some seals. It was a good experience.

I would recommend this to others, especially at the half-off price ($16 per person).

We had a great time! We didn't see whales but lots of Porpus. They gave us 1/2 off for a future event.

My husband and I enjoyed the activity. It was a very relaxing and beautiful ride. The boat was clean and well maintained. It was not overcrowded and the crew was friendly and professional. In my opinion, this trip will be enjoyed most by children 7 and up. The younger children were a little bored and were slightly confused as to where to look, as the dolphins move quickly and are hard to see. I would love to take the trip again at another time of year, as it is well worth the price and I have recommended it to my daughter as a fun place for a date.

Our experience was very nice. We unfortunatley did not see any whales this time but we were issued a voucher for another try at it at our convienience. We did see sea lions and a pod of common dolphins.

It was a very good two hour tour. Boat was clean and not over crowded although there were quite a few people on board. I am going again with other family members in April.

Trip was good and crew were both helpful and profesisonal.
