One of the Best Life Experiences

perfect trip - snorkeling for the 1st time was fabulous - kayaking is hard, but fun - exploring the island was fun - families with children will love the sandbar! It makes you realize how much you love the ocean. We got to see dolphins! Staff is overaccomodating! At first we could tell that our children were annoying them, but they quickly got the hint that "they were just kids" and went out of their way to be nice to them. They're working for tips!

Enjoyed the trip despite less than perfect weather

Enjoyed this trip even though it was a little cloudy and rainy and that is because of the captain and his crew! Went to the sponge beds for a snorkel and saw some great fish that I wouldn't have because our crew member did an excellent job pointing them out to us. Enjoyed the mangrove kayak as well because of the history and natural history presented to us by our crew. Obviously, didn't hang out on a beach because of cloudy weather but enjoyed our time on the sailboat. Great trip, thanks!

The best Key West boat trip

I chose this trip based on web research and was very pleased with the experience. Knowledgeable crew, comfortable boat, excellent locations not frequented by other boats. Several Key West natives told us after we returned that we had chosen the best company on the island. One of these was the captain of another boat.

fun sailing adventure

Very fun tour with great tour guides. I really enjoyed the sailing aspect of the trip, but would have liked to sailed more and used the motor less, but apparently it was a little too windy to use the sails. The snorkeling was fun and the water clarity was excellent, but I did not see a lot of fish. I have snorkeled in Mexico a few time and the Red Sea, both with better fish to see, but it was still fun. If it's your first time snorkeling, you will love it. The guides are very helpful as well if you need any instruction. The kayaking was one of my favorite parts of the trip. We got to go through the man groves and see some interesting wild life including some jellyfish and crabs. On the back back to the docks we were joined by some dolphins, apparently this is not common to see. Lucky for us I guess. The do expect a tip at the end of the trip so make sure you bring a little extra cash with you.

BETTER THAN ANY OTHER!!

We were in Key West for 7 days, and I went on 4 different activites -- Danger's was THE best out of them all and I am so glad I chose them for the all day trip. Brian, Christian and Shaun (w/the striking hairdo-sorry if I misspelled your name!) were a great trio of guys who were personable and professional. They were super friendly, VERY knowledgeable and held everyone's best interests at heart throughout the day no matter how small a detail to big important details. I had had a terrible experience snorkelling the day before with another larger operator on the island. I was so worried about this day - but Danger far surprassed the prior day's experience and we had a ball. I think everyone on that trip did - you get to know everyone, the ship is great (easy to get on/off), the food they provide is delicious (and I am super picky, there's lots to choose from) and their information that they share with you is interesting. Each of the guys goes out of his way to be charming in their own right and make sure everyone's taken care of. They way they conduct themselves is an excellent display of transparent customer service - they're being good to you and make it seem like it's not just THEIR JOB to do it. If you are going to spend any money doing a water activity in Key West - book them all through this company because these guys are great and I didn't feel like I wasted my time or money in any way whatsoever. They explain where/what goings to happen and why and you get to see a lot of cool stuff. Other people brought kids along - and they interacted with them in a very jokey, yet caring manner that I found very thoughtful-- it was above and beyond in every way. They get out on the water with you, they narrate, they walk amongst the group to point things out, tell you about the geography, what things in the water (fish, signs, etc) mean and it was very good. The other operators did NOT do this. On one - I just sat there in silence the whole time staring for direction or looking for where the guys went (talking on the cell phones). On another, I asked the guys for information and immediately felt this sense of "siiiigh, why are you talking to me" from the guy. On another operator, they didn't warn us that jelly fish were all over the water and I myself and a number of others - including some badly stung children - were in all stung by jellies and it ended up being a colossal waste of our time and money and we didn't see anything snorkelling because we were too busy tending to wounds. Bottom line - the Danger guys keep you safe, sound, provide PHENOMENAL service to you on the tour and make it all seem incredibly effortless. They are funny and super friendly. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND -- any snorkeling, kayaking or sailing - go through this operator!!! Learn from my mistake - and just go with Danger the whole time!

We did the half day sail, kayak and snorkel trip with Danger Charters. It was a very fun day. The experienced crew is skilled, cheerful, informative, enthusiastic and fun. It is a nice way to get out on the water and do some interesting activities.

Good trip, good value.

This is a pretty cool trip; the crew you get can make a difference. Our trip had Meaghan (sp?) and Christy as the guides. Both were into it, very knowledgeable and added a lot to the adventure. Dennis, the skipper, was a bit uninterested and didn't contribute much. You can certainly count on seeing things you don't see every day- we had a good sized (9 or 10 foot) nurse shark swim right under our kayak in no more than 15 inches of water, scared the crap out of me.... All in all, it's a great adventure and good value for the hundred bucks.

Great time on the Sail

We had a terrific time. The crew is great and the food terrific. My only problem was that my husband became very ill three days prior and they would not let us change our sail or cancel. Fortunately, he did recover and we were able to participate, but I was quite upset that they didn't care if it was a medical problem. I understand that under normal circumstances they don't allow for cancellation, but with a medical problem, I would think they could be more considerate.

fabulous day!

I booked the day trip totally blind on-line. When we arrived in Key West Marina it is patently obvious that there was another sailing charter company with the monopoly, a larger fleet more advertising etc and i had my doubts. The time spent with Danger Charters made everything totally worthwhile. The whole crew made you feel not like paying customers but like family. There was a whole age range on our trip out and every aspect of the day was taylored for every person. The crew were great. Not in your face annoying friendly like, "Hey lets all be happy!" But really approachable and knowledgeable. They all had a keen interest in marine life and were enthusiastic to pass their interest on. The sailing was relaxing and the sight of the Spotted Eagle Rays awesome. I would recommend this trip to anyone holidaying in Key West. I can't wait to go again soon.

We did this a year ago while on our honeymoon and came back for more. Such a good time! We even booked for the sunset sail the same week! A must do in Key West!
