Hands down I recommend Danger Charters

This was by far one of the best experiences from our trip. My girlfriend and I could not get over how lucky we felt the entire day. Captain Don and shipmate Will are absolutely fantastic. The sailboat (Sarah) was beautiful. I felt like I had been sucked into a postcard. As far as buying a day of paradise this is a value you shouldn't pass up. I send my best to everybody at Danger Charters, we'll be back again and again.

excellent crew but poor snorkling site

The 3 employees were funny, well trained and good guides. The sailing anf the kayak trip was great. But snorkling was soso. They provided us with wetsuit but, at this time of the year, we needed also something to cover hands and head .. water too cold. Also the reef not colorful, only sponges and a few fish.

Overall a wonderful day

Just the chance to get out on the water in a sailboat is worth the trip. The staff, food and hospitality were all first rate. Snorkeling in the keys is fun if you've never done it but not like the Carribean. The Kayaking is awesome and the day was just perfect. You could spend a lot more on other options and not have the day you will on this outing. Highly recommended.

Despite the weather, we had a great time

My husband and I chose Danger specifically for something a little smaller and less obnoxious than some of the other big charter companies, and we chose well. We had an unseasonably cold day, but still had a great time sailing and sea kayaking. We chose not to snorkel as the water was 58 degrees, but had a good time laughing at the people who did. Our crew of 3 were fantastic - entertaining, educational, and personable. They were always mingling, passing out food and drinks, and letting the passengers help with the sailing process. It says something about Danger and our crew that even thought the weather was against us we still had a lot of laughs and fun.

Wonderful day on the water in Key West

My husband and I took the full day kayak and snorkel tour with Danger Cruises on 12/22/2010. Our captain and crew- Haig, Wendy and Bailey were professional and fun. They really went out of their way to provide us all with a great day. We started out on time and Haig took the time to pull out a map to show us all exactly where we were headed. Firs came kayaking- my husband and I had the honor of being the only couple to capsize our kayak- but our guide- Bailey, got us right back in. It became the subject of some good natured joking for the rest of the day! Next came a lovely shipboard lunch- nothing fancy but obviously well planned. We finished up with some snorkeling- the crew knew exactly where to take us for a lovely spot with some great fish and reefs. We've been snorkeling before, but the crew was kind and patient for some others who hadn't tried it before. The ride back to shore was great- snacks, wine and beer and some good tips for restaurants on the island. We'll definitely go again if we return to Key West.

The highlight of my trip to Key West

I highly recommend this activity to anyone no matter what age or background! The captain and crew were extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, providing a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere even for first-time snorklers or kayakers. We spent, as advertised, over an hour snorkeling and kayaking each and the rest of the time sailing on the beautiful clear waters of key west. They even let me take the wheel and put up the sails! They served delicious fresh fruit, sandwiches, pasta salad, and all the drinks you could want. And they provide all the equipment so all you need to take is sunscreen, a towel, and your enthusiasm - you definitely won't be disappointed!!!

We had booked a half-day with Danger for a Friday but received a call Thursday that there were not enough people booked and offered the full-day trip for the same price. I could not do that so they said to let them know if we could join them for another trip during our vacation. I called Saturday afternoon and asked if we could do the full-day trip the next day. They said "sure!" Boy was I glad I did! Captain Dees and Will were great. Dees is so friendly and up-beat and Will was very informative and friendly, as well. Amelia also joined for our trip, even though it was her day off (I thought that was a good sign from the start!). So there ended up being 3 crew members and 7 guests. Nice ratio! We didn't really get to sail (without the motor) because the wind was too weak, but that made for great snorkeling and kayaking conditions. We saw a couple sting rays and lots of pretty fish at Lone Tree. Then went kayaking through the mangroves. Both were very cool. The only thing I was disappointed about was that we arrived back at the dock a full 30 minutes early. This is the ONLY reason I did not give a full five stars. I love being out on a boat and wouldn't have minded just hanging out on the water somewhere for those 30 minutes. But, the atmosphere was very laid back and I know the crew wasn't keeping a rigid schedule, so they probably didn't mean for us to get back early. Regardless, I will definitely be going on another trip with them the next time I'm in Key West... which I hope will be sooner rather than later!

Wonderful Way to Spend a Day

First, let me say, the crew is excellent - careful, attentive, informed, professional and. . . fun. Snorkeling, kayaking, and swimming were all great and the time spent at each was just right. The crew was attentive to the needs of the passengers and flexible. All together it was really enjoyable.

Great trip for a relaxing & enjoyable day

We have been on many snorkel trips and prefer the trips that concentrate on relaxing activities as compared to the "party" trips. We would highly recommend this trip. The sailing, snorkeling and kayaking were all done at a nice pace. The refreshments and lunch provided were exceptional. Captain Don and his mate Will provided excellent information all throughout the trip, not only regarding the sailing, snorkeling & kayaking, but also the history of Key West in general, and great recommendations on island dining.
