Snorkel, Kayak & Sail - Danger's Key West 1/2-Day

The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the area and great at teaching the basics of kayaking and snorkeling. I was new to these things, but I felt very comfortable. The reef we were snorkeling at had lots of interesting fish and sea life to enjoy. They also had free fruit and beverages (beer and wine free too!) to hold us over for the 4 hour trip. I would recommend going on the afternoon/evening trip so you can see the sunset from the boat.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from the Northeast for a mini vacation in May. We researched all the charter tours and chose Danger's half-day tour at $75.00pp. Luckily, we were blessed with great weather and a fantastic crew. While most charter tours offer the same activities (snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing, etc) and have half-day and full-day tours, I think what makes Danger stand out is their excellent crew. We had about 14 people with us on our tour and about 5 crew members. Very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgable about the area's history and wildlife. We were very happy with Danger and would recommend others to visit with them. They do work off gratuities so don't forget to bring some $$. Also, don't forget to bring sunblock, towels, and a disposable waterproof camera (we forgot). They provide everything else!

My fiance and I had a great time on our half-day sail,kayak,snorkel trip! Captain Wendy and crew Will and Shaun of the S/V Danger were terrific guides and a lot of fun! The activities were well planned and executed. For an eco-minded tour we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this charter and will most definitely go again next time we are in Key West!

I'm 32 weeks pregnant so I was a bit concerned about how I would be able to enjoy all of the activities. Not only did I participate in both snorkeling and kayaking but I loved every second of it. Bob and Christian (spelling?) were awesome, easy to talk to and knowledgeable about the reefs, types of fish, mangroves, etc. Had an awesome time!!!

My boyfriend and I had a great time! The crew - Captain Brian, Sean and Ian - were all friendly, outgoing and very knowledgable about the Key West area, sailing, fishing and all the various marine life and fowl that reside and migrate there. They made us feel very comfortable and interacted with all the people on the beautiful sailboat. The midafternoon trip was gorgeous - bright sunshine with calm seas. We snorkeled in a 6-7 foot spongebed nursery area. This is an area that was teaming with juvinelle fish - though not very colorful we did see several different varieties of fish, rock lobster, a moray eel, lion fish and a small ray. The coral, rocks and small sponges were of various interesting shapes and looked lovely in the dappled sunshine. We then went kayaking around a mangrove island that's a nesting area for double-crested cormorant, of which we saw several ,as well as blue heron and egrots. We leisurely headed for shore, sharing beer, wine, snacks and lively conversation while enjoying a marvelous sunset. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. Great quality for the price. Very friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and organized crew. Quite informative about the local flora and fauna, as well as the geography of the Florida Keys. All in all a great half-day tour. I would probably do the full-day tour next time!

Brian and his crew were a fun group to hang out with for a few hours on this trip. There were 12 passengers on our sail boat. This was in contrast to the 70 or so cruise ship patrons who were were crammed on the the Fury catamaran that was departing about the same time as we were. With With a 1:4 ratio of passenger to crew that Fury provides, the extra few dollars spent is well worth it.

We are a family of three.The capitan and its crew are friendly but not extremely enthusiastic about us. My daughter is 11 and its our first time to snokel and kayak. They don't really teach us how to do it. I don't think they give enough training to first timers, but since the place they take us to is very calm and there is no worries. I really think they can improve their service by giving more attention to first timers. Other than that, the trip is fun.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our 1/2 Day sailing, snorkeling and kayaking adventure with the Danger Charter crew. The crew was fantastic, fun, knowledgeable, and helpful. They enjoy making sure that everyone has a good time. I appreciated the fact that Danger is an environmentally conscious outfit. I recommend this tour for anyone who is looking to for a relaxing day time adventure in Key West.
