Snorkel, Kayak & Sail - Danger's Key West 1/2-Day

This was a great trip. From the moment we stepped onto the boat, the crew made us feel welcome and safe. It was a beautiful day, with very little wind. We didn't get to really "sail" because of the calm air, but that's ok. I am a self-proclaimed "chicken of the sea," so I really appreciated the time and attention the crew gave to snorkel prep. Two of the crew were in the water with us, pointing out sights and taking pictures. The crew were very knowledgeable on the flora, fauna and history of the area.

We had a great trip. The crew was very informative and helpful with suggestions on geting the most out of the experience. They guided us in the snorkeling part to see a great variety of fish that we might not have discovered on our own. Well worth the price. Would recommend it to others visiting the area

The crew was great, as was the boat we sailed on. That's where "Great" ends. The picture on the front page of this review, is of a lush and vibrant coral reef, and that's what one expects when planning this trip. Reality is only shared by the crew, once the anchor has been dropped on location. Fact is, it is a barren, grassy, sponge field, and sea life worth viewing is scarce (really saw nothing but an 8 inch Ray). Face it folks, NOBODY willingly signs up to snorkel in that. I've dived and snorkeled all over the world, and that was the most pathetic and uninteresting, colorless experince I've ever seen. The kayak trip around the closest little Mangrove island revealed a Southern Ray, and a Bonnet head Shark. I'm an AVID bird watcher, and to visit a Commorant rookerie with a few Cattle Egret hanging around was a total bore. About equal to going on a birdwatching tour in a National Park to see Starlings breeding. I realize the location out there is cheap and convenient for Danger operators, but it leaves the guest with NOTHING to share pictures about, or share with any excitement, with fmaily or friends. If you advertised it for what it was, you'd only hear crickets at your kiosk, and you'd soon have to find a legit destination, and up your cost. I'd rather pay more and get something worthwhile, than pay cheap and get nothing for it. I will not recommend the trip to anyone I know visiting KW. Again, crew was great; nice folks. They're selling what they're given, and trying to pay their bills. For Pete's sake, give them something to fell good about sharing.

We did the afternoon trip and it was great. The captain and crew were very knowlegeable. We got to see lots of marine life up close. Would do it again, no question.

We had a wonderful experience with Bosco, Kayla and Jen sailing toward Mule Key, snorkeling and kayaking. We saw herons, cormorants and bald eagles on our kayak trip around Mule Key and though not a lot of fish when snorkeling, Kayla was an excellent guide in and out of the water. Jen and Bosco were also thoroughly knowledgeable and professional. These folks really make you feel welcome and comfortable, even if you don't have a lot of experience with any of these activities. They served us cold drinks and healthy snacks throughout the trip. We felt like we were in excellent hands and had a very memorable experience of the nautral Key West.

Let me first say that my wife and I had a wonderful time! The crew was young but demonstrated a high degree of knowledge of nautical operations and of the local fauna. The boat was clean and well maintained and our comfort was well looked after by the crew. Fresh fruits were served on the 1/2 day kayak and snorkel excursion with beer and wine offered after the snorkel portion. My experience was a 9 out of 10. It would have been a 10 had I been able to enjoy the full day excursion I originally signed up for but that wasn't their fault. There were simply not enough people signed up to justify the full day. They also offer an evening wine tasting cruise that I believe worth checking out but I myself did not.

We had a great kayaking, snorkeling, sailing trip! My 8 daughter had a great time snorkeling. The captain and mate couldn't have been more friendly or informative. The kayak trip was very pleasant and informative. I would highly recommend this half-day kayak, snorkel, sail trip.

My husband, two adult daughters and I had a terrific time. The crew was great - friendly and helpful at every turn. They worked HARD and enjoyed their job. Snorkling was fun. The kayak trip around the mangrove island was an easy paddle and very interesting. Food and wine in the sunshine was perfect. Next time, we are doing the full day sail - 1/2 day just wasn't enough. I can't recommend this highly enough!

Great time, and a fun mix of activities. We did a little snorkeling, some kayaking and saw a beautiful sunset!

we did the half day trip. the snorkeling was not as good as expected. but, the good news is that you get to drink beer and wine after you get out of the water. we enjoyed the kayaking. (bear in mind that they are tandem 'yaks.) good boat, great crew, cold beer! a nice day to be out on the water! thanks! :)
