Snorkel, Kayak & Sail - Danger's Key West 1/2-Day

Having taken many daytrips out of Key West, I think this was the best. Danger is a beautiful boat with a great crew. My wife and I swam with a hawksbill turtle for about ten minutes during our snorkel on the reef, several huge Florida lobsters, grouper, parrotfish, many smaller species. Our guided kayak to a mangrove island was equally eventful, paddling past sharks (bonnet and blackfin, according to our guide) and tarpon on the way to the mangroves, then into a cove of mangroves for a lecture about that ecosystem and its importance. On the way back to the harbor we saw bottle nosed dolphins. Highly recommended.

The crew was fantastic and took excellent care of us. Being a first time snorkeller, they made the snorkelling simple and easy plus located and identified plenty of wildlife. The sea kayaking was smooth and still more wildlife! The crew also prepared fresh fruit and drinks while sailing from one location to the next. This time around, we took an afternoon trip. I can't wait to get back and try a full day adventure!

Overall, it was an amazing trip. It is important for me that the tour guides emphasize the importance of the sensitive ecological resources in and of the ocean. I have to say that I was incredibly disappointed that smoking was allowed on the boat. I would like to see the outfit ban smoking completely. The guides were knowledgeable and fun so I really did enjoy the sailing trip. Thank you.

We had a great time on the half day tour. The boat was amazingly clean and the crew members were fun and enthusiastic. The snokeling was completely awesome - we saw cow fish, stone crabs, stingrays, and lobster. The only improvement would be to have less time talking about the Mangroves and actually paddling around them. Overall it's a great time and we would recommend it.

We were a married couple in our 60's. We enjoyed the small group- 24 or so- the delightful, knowledgeable crew of 3 (who actually learned our names), the healthy snacks, the snorkeling and the kayaking. The sailboat was an historic replica of a Chesapeake oyster boat- a skipjack- the sails were put up but we had to motor a lot of the way- too bad- to reach the mangrove islands and get back in 5 hours. We think it is probably the best charter in Key West. 1/2 day was enough for us- enough sun!

After going on many snorkeling trips in Key West over the years this was BY FAR the BEST! The crew was delightful and full of knowledge. If you want a relaxing and enjoyable experience on the water take this trip!! We did the half day which was plenty of time, but are looking forward to a full day trip during our next visit.

Danger charter was one of the best things we did in key west. It was the first time I was snorklimg and the crew took 20 minutes specially to teach me. It wouldnt have been possible to enjoy this experiance if he wouldnt have tought me... The whole experiance is worth the price. I would recommend it to everyone..

We had a group of five, went on the 9:30 am departure for kayaking & snorkeling. The winds were good that day and we were actually able to sail out to our first destination - kayaking. Wade & Chris were the Danger crew aboard our trip and they were very friendly and informative. Had a great time - highly recommend them.

We had a blast. After about a 45 minute sail boat ride, we then sea kayak for about an hour, then we cruised over to an area to snorkle for about an hour and sailed back. The boat staff was great and very helpful teaching us to snorkle. Beer and wine was provided on the return trip. The boat is small and they only take about 15 people so the size of the group is great. I would highly recommend this trip.
