This charter turned out to be the best part of our Key West experience. The skipjack we were on was beautiful and the crew (Brian and Sunshine) were so informative and just so much fun to be around. We were so comfortable and the fact that there was only 15 guests in total made this trip more enjoyable and much more romantic. We kayaked through the mangroves as Sunshine (Christy) enthusiactically spoke about the enviroment and educated us all about the mangroves and its habitants. Our one wish was to catch a glimpse of a sea turtle while snorkeling and that is what we got. Sunshine showed us Sally the sea turtle which made for an even better birthday gift.(It was my boyfriend's birthday) The water was beautiful and the ocean was clear. We got to see some really pretty fish and great big lobsters. Next time we will do the hour tour for sure. We ended the day watching the sun go down from the boat. It was truly an amazing experience. Be sure to ask for Brian and Sunshine they were awesome!

My wife and I went on the half day Snorkel, Kayak & Sail with Danger Charters. We were in a group of 19 or 20. The small number of people gave us a chance to get to know the crew and the people on board. Everything was "as advertised." Fresh fruit and cold water and sodas on the way out. I even got to help raise one of the sails. The crew was very helpful instructing us on the finer points of kayaking and snorkeling. We kayaked around one of the islands and Michelle was very informative about the area and the wildlife that we saw. The snorkeling was fun but I was disappointed that we were not able to go to a coral reef. On the way back in we were served wine and beer along with chips, salsa and hummus dip. All in all it was a most enjoyable experience and in my opinion much better than taking one of the "cattle boats" with Fury that carried 2 or 3 times as many people.

Best possible sailing/snorkeling in Key West

Danger Key West was a fantastic charter. I'd give it the highest recommendation as I've been on a few other charters in KW for snorkeling and 'sailing' and they didn't even come close. The other ones were more like 'tourist mills' that crammed as many onto the boat, didn't even raise the sails but motored out to the reef, and then blasted pretty crappy music through cheap speakers on the way back. Yes, the snorkeling was good on the other charters but that's KW, not the charter company. Danger was completely different! Even though it was windy that day and water visibility low, we sailed out to another area where they knew the water was calm and clear enough to see well (wasn't the reef but was very cool- lobster, rays, all kinds of cool fish). Then we did the kayak trip which I thought would be boring but it was great- we kayaked around a mangrove island in 1 foot of water over water grass- the crew guys for us on the kayak trip- Chris and JP- were really into the ecology of the system and were great at communicating it to us. On another charter company I'd taken the crew were pretty jaded but these guy's enthusiasm was genuine and infectious. That day was definitely the high point of our trip to KW. We sailed back, and they only have a max of 20 people on the boat (a real sailboat, not a 'ferry-catamaran'). We actually had about 12 so it was very mellow. Great wine and beer and good conversation with the crew. Danger was somewhat more expensive then the others but every penny was worth it. If you want to have a unique and memorable day on the water in KW, these guys are it. One last note- I think we were the only people who tipped the crew. Don't be an asshole and tip the crew! It's stated when you buy the ticket and by the crew when they go over stuff that that's how they get paid. I couldn't believe no one else tipped, and everyone had an amazing day. I felt bad for the guys, who handled it well and bid everyone adieu with a smile, but man, those guys deserved to be tipped. If you go with Danger you'll instantly know why they get great reviews- just look around at the other charters leaving the harbor, packed like sardines. If you're going to do it do it right.

This is a great trip. Snorkeling, Kayaking and Sunset seeing, three within one trip. The group size is around 10 ppl so you feel not crowded. Snack Fruit and Drinks on board are not bad at all. Only thing you need to pay attention is that if you do not know how to swim, you might have some trouble and can not enjoy the snorkeling very well. But over all, the trip is great. Recommended.

Wonderful, enriching and relaxing experience!

Danger Charters provided my girlfriend and I a wonderful experience during our vacation to Key West. We both thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking and snorkeling, as well as the education provided with those activities. But most importantly, we enjoyed the crew and ride they provided for us on the sea. We are both Florida natives who live in a competitive, fast paced environment in D.C. so it was a pleasure to just kick back and chill and leave it up to the pros to show us a good time. Brian, Cray, Billy and Savannah (the new girl) were a blast and very knowledgable about Key West and its natural beauties. They were fun and outogoing and made us feel relaxed on the kick-ass boat. We would recommend the experience to anyone interested in staying active while on vacation, but also seeking a fun, relaxing environment. Keep it up Danger and best of the luck to the crew and company!

When we started the tour I was delighted to see the boat we were on was a sail boat. The crew was excellent and the kayak tour was fun and informative. The snorkeling was the best part of the trip we saw lots of colorful fish and sponges. We made some friends with the other guest and had a great time. One couple became engaged while snorkeling and that made the day a great day for them. I would recommend this trip to everyone it was great...

We enjoyed our snorkel kayak trip very much because it was so personalized, There were only eight of us on our trip and it was very enjoyable. Wade and his mate were very informative. Would recommend this to future visitors.

The Staff (Captain Dennis, Billy and Chris) were really great and knowledgable guys. The weather was beautiful; however, the tide was way low and we were not able to kayak (or at least not very well). All in all it was a great time and we would book with Danger again. Much more intimate (only about 20 people on board) than some of the other company's.

Me and my husband (went to Key West to get married!) went on this tour the day after our wedding and had such a blast! The staff, Christian and Wade, were awesome! Christian was our guide and was so enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. They both really made us feel welcome and really made it a point to keep us entertained and comfortable. We saw so much wildlife from native birds to stingrays, and even got to swim with a freakin' sea turtle! The kayak trip was so peaceful and we got to learn so much about the area. We went on a half day trip and got to take our time with everything and I definitely feel like I got our money's worth. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for something to do in the area.
