Captain Corey, Tony and Chris took great care of us on Danger Charters. They were knowledgeable, funny, and helped us enjoy ourselves. We were safe, learned a lot of awesome information, and had a great time. We loved kayaking through a channel created by mangroves, tracking our course on a nautical chart, looking at fish and horseshoe crabs, and snorkeling with sponges! We saw dolphins, sting rays, and a sea cucumber! The weather was great, the snacks and drinks were perfect, and we didn't feel like a herd of tourists. It was a group of less than 20 and we had everything we needed. Sailing out there was a great part of it, too! No noisy motor on our way into Key West's back country. My fiancé and I had a great time! We recommend it to all our friends as the best kayaking/snorkeling tour on the island. |

We had an open day on our vacation that the group wanted to spend on the water but not just laying and playing on the beaches. Danger's Clipper Ship Snorkel, Kayak & Sailing hit the spot for everyone. The crew was very friendly and made sure that everyone on the excursion had a great time. I would definitely recommend this to all ages plus the price was right. |

I would highly recommend Danger Charters! We just returned from a weekend in key west, and we took the half day sailing tour. Wendy and Wade were our guides, and both were very professional and so much fun! |

We had a wonderful time on the hald day snorkel and sail. The crew (corey, john and chris) were the best. If we go back to the keys, we will be going on another trip with them. |

Being a frequent traveler and a south florida native I am no stranger to beautiful breathtaking surroundings, and throughout my life I have spent a great amount of time on beaches and cruising the waters in our own boat. However, I have never been so happy with a "tour" as I was on Saturday May 2, 2009 for the Danger half day snorkel and kayak sail. There was a perfect amount of sailers which was about 8 people including myself and my boyfriend. (watching the other boats load their travelers as if they were cattle at the docks, we were very happy to be on a private yet perfect tour) The crew that day was amazing!! They were well educated on the surroundings and always took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. They chopped up fresh fruit (with gloves on) and served us refreshments in the morning, and followed with chips and salsa and hummus and more refreshments in the afternoon. We went to a "NONCOMMERCIAL" island and kayaked the awesome waters with a detailed and fun tour guide leading us. We saw sharks, sting ray, bald eagle, birds, and much more. Following the kayaking we went snorkeling. With clean sanitized gear and all of the appropriate dirrections to keep us safe, we had an amazing time. We saw lobster, squid, beatiful fish, and colorful corals. What an awesome trip. The only thing my boyfriend and I regretted was not taking the longer trip, as when it was time to go back we were craving more. Thanks to the crew especially who were all professional, informative, and FUN!!

These guys really enjoy what they're doing and go out of their way to add lots of little things to the cruise. We ended up coming back near sunset and while all of the other cruise boats seemed to be lining up to go back in we ended up staying out and catching the sunset from the boat. It was a great time. |

Having been deployed for over 6 months, I was required to take a two week leave. I chose to go to Key West because it was close to home (Sarasota, FL) and it's the coolest, most relaxing place I could think of going to totally destress from the war zone. In a word, perfect. Plus it was a birthday gift to myself.
Haig and his crew were the coolest guides/hosts of an interesting sailboat. At first, everyone on board was apprehensive. By the end, everyone was socializing with everyone on the salboat having perfect island snacks and beer/wine.
The trip started out under power to get everyone comfortable for those that had never sailed. For others, it was an interesting peek at a very cool marina. Then, we hoisted the sails and headed out for the adventure. We were all warned that it might get a little choppy as the winds were 20 knots. Actually, that made for just the right amount of rock to the boat for actual sailing.
Though a little choppy for snorkeling, most everyone ventured into the tad chilly waters on April 24th and experienced an interesting snorkel experience while the ones that stayed back enjoyed hanging out with the Captain (Haig), listening to cool island music while eating almost all the chips and salsa and enjoying beers/wine until the aventurous ones returned. About 45 minutes was all it took, but that was about perfect for me as a beer sounded too good.
We then headed to the mangroves for a good workout in the kayaks as the winds provided enough of a workout to not get exhausted for experienced ones but probably frustrated the others. However, they all did a great job as we learned things I hadn't even heard growing up in Florida or in college.
We headed back, packed up the boats and enjoyed more snacks (the best hummus and black bean dip I've had in a while!) and several more beers to get in the mood for the celebration that is every sun set in the Keys. Except we were the smart ones the were on the water while Mallory Square was packed to the hilt with partiers from the Conch Republic taking back the island. It was realy cool to see all that from the water instead of in the insane crowds. To each his own I guess.
The Danger trip was the beginning of the best vacation I had ever experienced in my life. It also provided great memories that I will remember when I head back to Baghdad May 3rd.
Haig, Megan (sp) and I can't remember your name dude, (sorry), were friendly, educational, gratious hosts to everyone. Thanks to all of you for making it a great, unstressful experience.
Would definitely recommend this trip for those that need a little adventure but to make the choice to participate as much or little as they chose.
Thank you! |

The boat was beautiful, the crew was very friendly (Capt. Haig, Brian, Heather). Not everyone in our group wanted to snorkle or kayak, which was fine. We went on a half-day afternoon trip, which was nice, but passengers should be reminded to bring towels (not provided) and jackets for the return trip -- as it got darker and we were all wet, we got cold. Reviews I had read really praised the food, which was just okay. Also, I would recommend checking the tide reports before booking -- we went at extreme low tide and couldn't kayak through the mangroves (no fault of Danger Charters.) |
