Snorkel, Kayak & Sail - Danger's Key West 1/2-Day

the crew on board was great. just beeing on the boat was beautiful but the snorkeling and especially the kayaking made the trip unforgettable. I've done many "tourist tours" in the keys and this is from far the best!

Exceptional, entertaining and educational. My sister and I loved our 3-E experience. The staff was humorous, personal, knowledgeable and courteous. We saw all sorts of birds as we glided around the island of mangroves, and the abundance of underwater creatures was impressive. However, it's not what a snorkeler might typically expect. Instead of brightly colored Disney-looking fish (which there were some), we saw a playground of lobsters, squid, crab, sting-rays, sponges, and juvenile fish. And we even were startled to see a barracuda lurking around. Again, the crew was fun and passionate. Oh, and the snacks and beverages were great, too. Our snorkel/sail/kayaking trip was very enjoyable and the highlight of our trip to Key West.

My husband and I had never gone snorkeling or kayaking before, but a friend had gone on this Danger Tour and highly recommended it. My husband was a little anxious because he's not a very strong swimmer, but the captain and the two man crew were great. They showed us exactly what to do, and had all the right equipment onboard for us to use. The crew were well prepared, and we felt very comfortable and safe. We did not know the other passengers, but it didn't take long, with the help of the crew, for us all to become friends. They provided us with fresh fruit and drinks, and there was a restroom available. All in all it was a great day!

We had a great time on this outing. Although the day was unfortunately windy and cool (which lead to most people forgoing the snorkeling), the sailing was superb. The staff was friendly and engaging. Would definitely recommend this!

Really enjoyed the trip. You can tell that the crew enjoys their job and really tries to make it a memorable experience for everyone. Our kayak guide was great! He pulled up a horseshoe crab for all of us to get a close look. The snorkeling was OK,not a ton of stuff to see, however we were limited by the weather a bit. Overall would definitely recommend it.

We took this excursion while our cruise ship docked in Key West. Our cruise ship docked at the same pier Danger is located at, so it was very convenient. I am so glad we booked a local excursion rather than taking the cattle call excursion associated with the cruise lines. We had 4 deck hands for 20 guests. Our deck hands were very personable, provided everything we needed, and were great fun to be around. We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion and would absolutely recommend to anyone. I loved the combination of kayak and snorkel - not to worry if you are not familiar with kayaking or snorkeling. Our deck hands were in the water with us at all times and helped to find interesting things to look at while kayaking/snorkeling.

The crew was great, as was the boat we sailed on. That's where "Great" ends. The picture on the front page of this review, is of a lush and vibrant coral reef, and that's what one expects when planning this trip. Reality is only shared by the crew, once the anchor has been dropped on location. Fact is, it is a barren, grassy, sponge field, and sea life worth viewing is scarce (really saw nothing but an 8 inch Ray). Face it folks, NOBODY willingly signs up to snorkel in that. I've dived and snorkeled all over the world, and that was the most pathetic and uninteresting, colorless experince I've ever seen. The kayak trip around the closest little Mangrove island revealed a Southern Ray, and a Bonnet head Shark. I'm an AVID bird watcher, and to visit a Commorant rookerie with a few Cattle Egret hanging around was a total bore. About equal to going on a birdwatching tour in a National Park to see Starlings breeding. I realize the location out there is cheap and convenient for Danger operators, but it leaves the guest with NOTHING to share pictures about, or share with any excitement, with fmaily or friends. If you advertised it for what it was, you'd only hear crickets at your kiosk, and you'd soon have to find a legit destination, and up your cost. I'd rather pay more and get something worthwhile, than pay cheap and get nothing for it. I will not recommend the trip to anyone I know visiting KW. Again, crew was great; nice folks. They're selling what they're given, and trying to pay their bills. For Pete's sake, give them something to fell good about sharing.
