Snorkel, Kayak & Sail - Danger's Key West 1/2-Day

We went on the Danger schooner at the end of February. Although the weather was a bit cool, we could not have had a better time! Capt. Dee(sp) and Christian both made sure that we had a great time. Christian makes a great fruit plate - all the fruit was at the peak of ripeness, and his presentation was nothing short of beautiful. When Christian took us kayaking around an island, he pointed out so many birds and interesting trees. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area. When we saw an osprey and eagle getting after each other, Christian was just as excited as any of us! It was not just another "day at the office' for him. His enthusiasm and excitement was infectious. While the snorkeling was not very good (certainly not the crews fault), we did see some sponges, which we had never seen in the water before. One other person on our trip was not comfortable in the water, but Christian very calmly helped him and got him to calm down in the water and enjoy his adventure. He handled the situation wonderfully. Capt. Dees had some great stories of spending most of his life on the water, as well as some great restaurant recommendations too, for later in our trip. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and definitely would go on the Danger Charters trips again, as well as highly recommend them to anyone else going to Key West. (BTW, since the weather (and water) were cool, we were allowed to use wetsuits, at no charge. When we went on the Fury the next day, they charged an extra $10 to use a wetsuit!)

Husband and I did the 1/2 day snorkel and kayak cruise. Loved it! The crew were great and friendly and we enjoyed meeting the other passengers on the trip as well. We highly recommend it!

This crew is FUN! They are 100% dedicated to making sure everyone has the experience of a lifetime. Professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining. There wasn't any wind, so we didn't sail. However, that meant we had some exceptional visibility for the snorkeling and easy riding for the kayaking, which were the activities we came for. I was kind of nervous about snorkeling in open water, but they definitely made me feel safe. We saw lots of tropical fish, birds, and we even saw three different pods of dolphins, some with babies. The crew was amazing! We had a lot of fun! I recommand this tour to everyone! The little extras are really appreciated (beer, wine, fruit, water, sodas, nachos and sunscreen). Really reasonable rate for what you get!

Exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want the huge touristy-type vessel with clownish acting crew. Skipjack was the perfect vessel for accommodating a relatively small (14 guests+3 crew) group. Crew were friendly, professional, engaging and very knowledgeable. We were so thrilled with Danger. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and wanted to try our hand at some water sports. I was very apprehensive, since I've never done any of these things before, but Wade and Christian were great. They talked me through snorkeling and helped me one-on-one to make sure I knew exactly what I was doing, and that was something I truly appreciated. The kayaking part of the trip was great - and I've never done that before either - I was shocked how knowledgeable they were about different types of sealife and about the ecosystem that supports it. I feel like I learned a lot and had a great experience. There is not one thing I can say in complaint about our time spent on the boat. My husband and I did both this activity and then the Danger Wind and Wine trip a couple of days later and we thought that those trips were the best parts of our vacation. Two thumbs up.

We really had a great time on the snorkel and Kayak tour. the capt. Josh was outstanding and Mates Christian and Forgot the name were outstanding and very knowledgeable. We will recommend this tour to all our friends. We hope to take more in the near future.
