Well worth the money...

Look...for a $100 excursion you can't beat this. My wife and I found Danger Charters online and since Trip Advisor gave it a good rating, we figured, "Why not?". For a $100, you went out all day and since this only cost another $25 over your standard 3 hour snorket trip, it is well worth it since we were able to kayat as well. The crew was very nice and made sure everybody was taken care of. The day we went out was VERY HOT with no breeze but it made it ideal for snorkeling conditions. The group size of 19 was nice since we didn't want to get caught up going out with over 100 other snorkelers. If I wanted to nit pick, I thought one bag of ice keeping the drinks cold was not enough as hydrating was VERY IMPORTANT during our end of July trip. The drinks were cool at best and I would simply use three bags of ice to cool their large cooler. Lunch was decent and like I said, for an all day trip...it was pretty decent and I would recommed it to others.

Amazing experience will book again

The most amazing time with Don, John and Joey snorkeling in very shallow loaded with fish and turtle spot. Topping it off with a very knowledgeable tour through the mangroves on our kayaks. Good lunch provided on the full day as well as beer, wine, and fruits all the time. The crew became like family throughout the trip and even helped my wife get over some sea-sickness. They are all so Eco-conscious about preserving the reefs and mangroves. Overall amazing experience and will definitely book with them again. If Fury watersports is like the Wal-Mart of watersports then Danger is that hole in the wall restaurant you can never get enough of.

Great sunset cruise ... Small number of people on board allowed it to be a great environment to relax and meet new friends. Really enjoyed the whole trip... crew was great.

My girlfriend and I had a great time on our full day Kayak / Snorkel cruise. The boat was not over-crowded, so our guides were able to give us personal attention. They were also very knowledgeable about good sites to visit, species to see, and how the ecosystem of the keys is put together. We didn't feel rushed at all, with plenty of time to paddle and swim around. The food and drinks were great, too.

My wife and I went on the half day Snorkel, Kayak & Sail with Danger Charters. We were in a group of 19 or 20. The small number of people gave us a chance to get to know the crew and the people on board. Everything was "as advertised." Fresh fruit and cold water and sodas on the way out. I even got to help raise one of the sails. The crew was very helpful instructing us on the finer points of kayaking and snorkeling. We kayaked around one of the islands and Michelle was very informative about the area and the wildlife that we saw. The snorkeling was fun but I was disappointed that we were not able to go to a coral reef. On the way back in we were served wine and beer along with chips, salsa and hummus dip. All in all it was a most enjoyable experience and in my opinion much better than taking one of the "cattle boats" with Fury that carried 2 or 3 times as many people.

The wine was a very good selection, the scenary was spectacular and the capt and crew were great. While on the trip we were graced with seeing a beautiful rainbow, stormy clouds over the atlantic, dolphins jump and of course the best sunset that you could ever witness!!!!!!!!! A "tourist" trip that wasnt really. It will be on my "to do again" list.

This is the second year in a row that my husband and I booked a Danger full day trip and once again we were not left disappointed! The crew was attentive, knowledgeable, and so much fun. We enjoyed every aspect of the trip especially the snorkeling. This year we were able to see a stingray, a lobster, and numerous tropical fish in the spot the captain took us.The crew was so friendly and made sure that our every need was met. The food was also very delicious! We will definitely be going again in the future!!!

I would absolutely recommend this activity to anyone visiting Key West. My partner and I were actually 15 minutes late to our activity and DANGER actually called us to make sure we were on our way and did not leave without us! We were extremely pleased at how considerate and kind this charter group is. It was my very first time snorkeling and by the end of the trip I felt like a pro. All the crew was very enthusiastic, friendly, and informative. Lunch was great, the kayaking was awesome. I loved it! This activity is an absolute MUST! This activity is perfect for any groups who want a more intimate experience. FURY is the other charter group, it is overly packed with tourists and there are long lines to board their boats. DANGER all the way baby. Do it!

Best possible sailing/snorkeling in Key West

Danger Key West was a fantastic charter. I'd give it the highest recommendation as I've been on a few other charters in KW for snorkeling and 'sailing' and they didn't even come close. The other ones were more like 'tourist mills' that crammed as many onto the boat, didn't even raise the sails but motored out to the reef, and then blasted pretty crappy music through cheap speakers on the way back. Yes, the snorkeling was good on the other charters but that's KW, not the charter company. Danger was completely different! Even though it was windy that day and water visibility low, we sailed out to another area where they knew the water was calm and clear enough to see well (wasn't the reef but was very cool- lobster, rays, all kinds of cool fish). Then we did the kayak trip which I thought would be boring but it was great- we kayaked around a mangrove island in 1 foot of water over water grass- the crew guys for us on the kayak trip- Chris and JP- were really into the ecology of the system and were great at communicating it to us. On another charter company I'd taken the crew were pretty jaded but these guy's enthusiasm was genuine and infectious. That day was definitely the high point of our trip to KW. We sailed back, and they only have a max of 20 people on the boat (a real sailboat, not a 'ferry-catamaran'). We actually had about 12 so it was very mellow. Great wine and beer and good conversation with the crew. Danger was somewhat more expensive then the others but every penny was worth it. If you want to have a unique and memorable day on the water in KW, these guys are it. One last note- I think we were the only people who tipped the crew. Don't be an asshole and tip the crew! It's stated when you buy the ticket and by the crew when they go over stuff that that's how they get paid. I couldn't believe no one else tipped, and everyone had an amazing day. I felt bad for the guys, who handled it well and bid everyone adieu with a smile, but man, those guys deserved to be tipped. If you go with Danger you'll instantly know why they get great reviews- just look around at the other charters leaving the harbor, packed like sardines. If you're going to do it do it right.

great trip

This is a great trip. Snorkeling, Kayaking and Sunset seeing, three within one trip. The group size is around 10 ppl so you feel not crowded. Snack Fruit and Drinks on board are not bad at all. Only thing you need to pay attention is that if you do not know how to swim, you might have some trouble and can not enjoy the snorkeling very well. But over all, the trip is great. Recommended.

100% I would relive this trip! It was a great day on the open water, sailing away with a great hands-on crew. They gave good instruction for first-timers and were there to help you snorkel and kayak. Bring lots of sunscreen and be sure to reapply often, I thought I would be okay but that kayak leaves your thighs exposed and I got pretty red anyway! It was the best day of our trip, I didn't want it to end. Sign up with Danger, they are the best!!

This group really knew how to take care of its passengers. They were friendly and helpful from the moment you showed up until you left, and were always there to answer questions and help you in any way they could. The staff was very knowledgeable and eager to talk about the wildlife and the area around them. The prescription snorkeling masks they carry also helped enhance the experience. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to have a lot of fun and learn about the area at the same time.

Enough time for snorkeling and worth the money

It was our first time to do snorkel, and the experience was awesome! The guides were nice and knowledgeable. In addition to the snorkeling mask and paddles, they also had floating noodel and vest, which were important and helpful for our first timers. The snorkeling part was about 1 to 1.5 hours. Although I didn't go far away from the boat, I still saw a lot of small and a few big fishes. And it seemed they chose a good spot for snorkeling since other expericenced people on the same boat did see some sea turtles and stingrays as well as live coral reefs. Moreover, the kayaking after snorkeling was also great, where we were led to kayak to a mangroove island from the boat and encountered lots of wild birds. The whole trip was about 5 hours, and it's definitely worth the money.
