This was a great excursion. Excellent attention to the customers, without being overly patronising or 'cheesy'. The kayaking and snorkeling were excellent and the crew was fantastic.

We would strongly recommend this trip to anyone who likes snorkeling, kayaking, or just being on the water in a beautiful sailboat. I felt we were taken care of, and it was a great day!

I went out with Danger Charters on their full day sailing, kayaking and snorkelling trip in March 2009 for the second time (first was in 2001) with different friends. We all enjoyed the day immensely. The captain and crew are great - friendly, courteous and helpful. The lunch provided was of good quality and the wine kept flowing through the afternoon. Kayaking around the mangrove island was interesting and good fun - we saw a young Barhead Shark, nesting Ospreys, trees full of pelicans and a sea turtle - all very interesting. We were four English people and the other 14 (or thereabouts) were from various parts of America and Canada. Everyone got on well as the group size is not too large. Had a wonderful time and met lots of folks in this smaller setting. The captain and crew were gracious and friendly and made sure we all had a good time. Sunset, as always, speaks for itself. The wine was definitely the best I've had on a sunset sail. Will return on my next visit to Key West.

Let me first say that my wife and I had a wonderful time! The crew was young but demonstrated a high degree of knowledge of nautical operations and of the local fauna. The boat was clean and well maintained and our comfort was well looked after by the crew. Fresh fruits were served on the 1/2 day kayak and snorkel excursion with beer and wine offered after the snorkel portion. My experience was a 9 out of 10. It would have been a 10 had I been able to enjoy the full day excursion I originally signed up for but that wasn't their fault. There were simply not enough people signed up to justify the full day. They also offer an evening wine tasting cruise that I believe worth checking out but I myself did not.

Well worth it

The half-day trip was just what we were looking for. A knowledgeable and friendly Captain and crew, Wade, Chrissy and Wendy, took care of our every need. They did everything from cutting up fresh fruit and serving us refreshments, to giving a detailed lecture about the history and formation of the keys and the wildlife & plant life we would encounter. Equipment was well maintained and plenty of help was available with it. The boat was beautiful and a lot of fun to sail on. Most of all, the crew made the day truly special. There wasn't anything they wouldn't do for us, and that feeling of being treated as a special guest made the experience something special. Whether a couple travelling without their children (like us), or a family with small children, they met everyone's needs expertly. I was even touched by how they taught some of the younger children how to tie slipnots to keep them from getting bored on the sail. We will make sure to include a Danger trip on any future visits to Key West!

We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. I am glad that we were able to rescheudule our day to a warmer day. The staff provided everything we needed, including a warm sweater for after the snorkeling, which was great with our glass of wine. A perfect afternoon for my family. We'd do it again.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the sunset cruise. The wine and snacks were great, and the service was even better. My only suggestion for improvement would be to start the cruise an hour before sunset and finish an hour after sunset. This would add a little more romance to the experience, since most guests were couples.

What a delightful and fun trip! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wishes a fun time - the entire crew - captain and all the mates were exceptional; friendly, laid back and lots of fun. Food was great - I would not have wanted to miss this as it was the highlight of our trip. We give it two thumbs up! If we had more time we would have taken the wine and sunset tour as well. So glad we decided to do this -

What started out as an absolutely beautiful morning with my fiancee and I getting married on the beach, ended with a very breezy and overcast sunset. A cold front had moved through the Keys about two hours prior to our departure on the Wind and Wine Sunset Sail and the cloud cover totally obscured the sun. No fault of their own, we realized that the crew could not control the weather; however, they more than made up for the lack of transition to evening, then night as they skillfully manuvered the sailboat along the South shore of the island. The crew was very fun, kind, courteous, and knowledgeable about sailing and the wine they were serving. They absolutely made the best of a less than ideal situation. We would suggest that unless you are planning on being in Key West during a very busy period, say during Fantasy Fest, or some other big-crowd event, to hold off purchasing your tickets until the day of the cruise. There were only 20 people aboard our float, so it was hardly sold out, and with their no refund policy (only a reschedule for very bad weather) save your money and take a chance on purchasing your seats to get aboard the day of, when you know you'll be able to enjoy the sunset, especially if you are going to be there over several days. Be prepared. Although the website says tips are not required, but appreciated, they are more or less expected and asked for prior to your departure from the boat. We tipped $25 to the crew of three, which we thought was fair. So, in addition to your ticket price and taxes, figure in the gratuity. All-in-all, the expereince was good, but could have been a whole lot better had the weather cooperated.

I had read many positive reviews before booking this great afternoon adventure. I must say, it was even better than I thought it would be. The crew was great and lots of fun. They were very knowledgeable about the area and taught us a lot. The kayak ride was great and the snorkeling that followed was excellent. For those of us that were nervous about snorkling, staying on the schooner was an option. (That's what I did, but the rest of my gang dove in and enjoyed.) I would go again and again if I had the opportunity. It was the best part of our trip to the Keys!

Danger Charters provided such a relaxing afternoon, and our guides, Wade, Megan, and Brian were so much fun, it felt like we were sailing with a group of friends instead of a bunch of people we had just met

We had a great time on the day cruise with the Danger guys, they were infectiously enthusiastic and always helpful, made sure we knew what was going on at all times while giving us a huge amount of local information - both related to the cruise and Key West in general. They also took the time to get to know us and make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. They were also really good with inexperienced snorkelers and had a knack for spotting interesting wildlife and telling us about them. I'd definitely go again with them and recommend them to anyone looking for a day on the water out of Key West!
