With 30 years of experience with the Department of Fish and Wildlife, our Captain offers a unique insight into the diverse ecosystems of Saguaro Lake. An experienced Skipper, he holds a U.S. Coast Guard 100 ton near-coastal Master's License.
Operated under permit of the USDA Forest Service.

Saguaro Lake is located within the Tonto National Forest, just 20 minutes from Mesa, Arizona. Experience the magnificence of both desert beauty and natural wildlife of one of the Valley's hidden treasures, spectacular Saguaro Lake.
Witness the flora and fauna first-hand, as you navigate pristine Sonoran desert canyons. Watch birds of prey soaring high on desert thermals as you photograph breath-taking desert vistas.
Along the way, we'll see:
- Geological Formations - The beauty created by wind and water over millions of years on the desert landscape
- Flora - Prickly pear, barrel, "jumping" cholla and majestic Saguaro cacti, mesquite, ironwood and Arizona's state tree, the Palo Verde
- Desert fauna - Both predators and prey, including ring-tailed cats, bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes, javalina, bighorn sheep and deer
- Avian Species - Vultures, falcons, eagles, hawks and many others to catch your eye
